You'll know what it's like.
Sometimes the body is tired and the mind keeps going.
Sometimes it feels like we've got one foot on there.
Brake to slow down but one foot on the accelerator as well and we're not going anywhere.
So.
.
.
At night time.
We go into what's called the default mode network,
Which is a collection of automatic thinking patterns where we might replay conversations.
Thinking about what happened today,
What may happen tomorrow.
So trying to force sleep when this is going on backfires on us.
Sleep comes more naturally.
When We stop trying.
To sleep.
And we let go.
Fighting the mind or trying to push away on certain thoughts.
This helps the nervous system soften and as a result of that,
When we become relaxed,
We go from beta brainwave states,
Which are the brainwave states when we are I'm going about our days.
To alpha brainwave states,
Those relaxations.
Brainwave states back.
Lead us into a beautiful night's sleep.
So find a meditation invites slowing down gently.
One breath,
One release.
I have some playlists at my profile.
There's also some folders there.
You could find a sleep story playlist.
Or you could find a playlist for.
Healing the body,
Affirmations to help the body heal.
There's lots at my profile.
So look for playlists and find which one could suit you and then you can choose which ones you prefer.
So.
.
.
You don't need to force yourself to sleep.
You are allowed to rest and let go.
Of that need for sleep.
And as you do,
Gently listen.
To whichever track.
Is helping you in this direction.
And I wish you a restful night's sleep.
