Welcome to Mindful Monday.
To begin,
I invite you to get into a comfortable position.
You can close your eyes or take a soft gaze,
Taking in a few slow breaths.
If it's helpful,
You can count to four on both the inhale and exhale.
As you breathe,
Begin to turn your awareness inward,
Allowing the sounds and concerns of the outside world to fade away,
Concentrating on your breath and on the rise and fall of your chest and abdomen.
Now I invite you to allow your imagination to transport you to a beautiful,
Peaceful place in nature.
Once you've arrived,
Take it all in.
I'm noticing sights,
Smells,
And sounds around you.
You're allowing yourself to settle in and rest a bit in this beautiful space.
In this space,
Imagine a column of light inside of you,
A channel that runs straight up and down through the middle of you,
Much like sunlight streaming through you.
This light stretches from the top of your head down to the bottom of your feet.
Be inside the pillar of light.
Feel into it.
Imagining the light moving upwards towards the sky and then downwards into the earth,
Spending some time in this space in the light column in the center of yourself,
Allowing anything heavy or weighty you've been carrying to be showered in the sunlight,
Breathing into the sunlight,
Allowing it to move through your center.
After a few more breaths,
Gently transitioning out of this space and bringing yourself back into the room.
Taking a few breaths,
Moving your body however it wants to be moved.
When ready,
Gently opening eyes.
