We'll begin today's practice by getting into a comfortable position.
Whatever that looks like for you right now,
It might be sitting,
Lying down,
Or moving in some way.
Checking in with yourself to see what position feels the most supportive right now.
And as you're getting settled,
If it's comfortable,
You might want to take a few deeper than usual breaths.
Eyes can be open or closed,
Whatever's comfortable.
And the invitation for this practice is to cultivate self-compassion and appreciation.
To begin,
You could bring your hand to your heart if that feels right.
You might imagine your breath bringing in love and warmth with each inhale.
And allowing that love and warmth to circulate through and go where it's needed right now.
And I'll offer some phrases for you to explore.
You can use them if you like or make them your own.
I'm willing to offer myself appreciation.
I appreciate all of my unique qualities and traits.
I honor and respect who I've been.
I offer myself forgiveness and grace.
I'm willing to release the harsh judgments I have towards myself.
I might even be willing to appreciate my perceived flaws.
I appreciate all the ways that I contribute and share love and kindness.
There is so much to acknowledge myself for.
I have so much to be proud of.
I am more than enough just as I am.
I'm grateful to be alive.
I love and embrace who I am becoming.
And spending some time here just sitting with these statements and offering yourself any way.
You might want to take a few deep breaths here if that feels right for you.
And as we draw this practice to a close,
I want to acknowledge you for showing up for this practice and for giving yourself this gift of self-care.
The invitation now is to carry this energy of self-love and compassion with you throughout your day.
Be well.
