We'll begin this morning ritual by getting into a comfortable position,
Either sitting or lying down.
This can be open or closed,
Whatever's comfortable.
And we'll begin by taking just a couple of deep cleansing breaths.
Allowing your breath to sweep through your body,
Offering it nourishment,
Maybe a little bit of relaxation.
Letting your breath sort of open you up to the moment as you're exhaling,
Slowly releasing,
Releasing any tension that you're carrying.
Bringing your awareness to whatever area of your body you really feel your breath the most.
Maybe it's in your chest or stomach or nose or mouth.
Where do you feel the sensation of your breath the most?
Just noticing that.
Welcoming your breath and receiving it as a gift of peace.
Bringing your awareness now to your heart.
And just asking yourself,
How am I feeling?
How does my heart feel?
No need to fix or judge.
Just noticing.
You might want to bring your hand to your heart and allow your hand to offer some warmth and love.
Invisioning your hand,
Bringing in some light and kindness to your heart.
As you envision your hand bringing in this light and love,
Imagining your heart opening up and receiving it,
Taking it in.
Bringing it to the rest of your body and all of the areas that it's needed.
And breathing into that.
Bringing your awareness now to thoughts of gratitude and appreciation.
Trying to mind something or someone that you're grateful for.
This is something you can give some appreciation to right now.
Bringing your awareness now to thoughts of self-appreciation.
Thinking of what's one thing that you appreciate about yourself or that you're proud of that you can really acknowledge yourself for right now.
And now I invite you to create an intention for the day.
How do you want to show up today?
Who do you want to be?
It might help to think in terms of what value or values do you want to honor today?
Or maybe picking a word or a theme for the day.
See your trait.
The invitation now is to bring this intention into your day.
Bringing your self-appreciation,
Your gratitude,
Your heart energy.
Knowing that you can return to any of these practices throughout your day to reconnect.
And just offering yourself some appreciation for showing up for this practice and for your intentionality and desire to walk through your day peacefully.
