Today we're going to gently explore our breath.
And notice how just breathing can help us shift our thoughts and our feelings so that we can release the stress in our body.
Take this moment to get comfortable and focus on your breath.
Breathing in.
Breathing out.
Enjoying each inhale and each exhale.
Breathing in.
Breathing out.
Finding your natural,
Easy rhythm.
Our breath energizes us and also relaxes us.
It connects our outer life to our inner life.
And it connects our mind and our heart.
Noticing the quality of your thoughts with each breath.
Observing anything else you may be aware of now that you've turned your attention within.
Imagine your breath dissolving any tension with each inhale and each exhale.
I invite you to soften your forehead,
Your eyes,
Your cheeks,
Your jaw,
Your lips,
And your tongue.
Relaxing and releasing with each breath.
Bringing your awareness to your throat.
Just noticing what your throat feels like.
Where it may be holding some tension.
Softening and dissolving.
Relaxing and releasing with each inhale and each exhale.
Opening up to what your throat and your body may be telling you with each breath.
Bringing your awareness to your heart center.
Place that's home to your deeper feelings.
I wonder what you're noticing here.
Warmth.
Glow.
Emptiness.
Noticing the quality of love in this very sacred place with each inhale and each exhale.
You might even feel an opening.
An opening and a releasing at the same time.
And now shifting your awareness from your heart center into your belly.
Just notice what you're noticing with each breath.
Both of these areas are a part of the mind.
In our head,
We're aware of our thoughts.
In our heart,
We're aware of our feelings.
And in our belly,
We're aware of sensations.
Something that might feel even deeper.
Something that might feel older.
Senses that we've held onto for quite some time.
Staying with this feeling,
This sensation.
Just notice whatever you're noticing as you bring your awareness and your breath down into your belly.
Notice how your breath can create an opening,
Creating space and releasing energy with each breath.

Notice any other parts of you that may be feeling tension or restriction and how you can move your breath to different places within your body.
Noticing the shape your breath is making as you fill your whole body up with more space,
More room or something new.

Noticing what you are becoming more aware of and how your nervous system might seem more awake,
Relaxed and alive with each breath.
