The World Can Wait is a gentle, grounding meditation created to offer you a sacred pause from the noise, pressure, and expectations of daily life. Through poetic guidance, breath awareness, and reflective visualisation, this practice invites you to soften, let go, and remember that your worth isn’t tied to what you do. It’s a space to simply be - unfinished, unproductive, and completely enough. The world can wait… and you are still worthy.

Welcome.

Welcome to this moment that belongs to you.

The world can wait.

Take a deep breath in through the nose,

And out through the mouth like you're blowing out a candle.

The notifications,

The expectations,

The noise,

It can all fall away for now.

You are not here to perform.

You are not here to be useful.

You are not here to be productive.

You are here to be.

Allow the eyes to close if you haven't already.

Let your body soften wherever you are.

Whether you're lying down,

Sitting tall,

Curled up on a sofa or resting in bed,

Know that you don't need to hold yourself together for this.

In fact,

Let yourself fall apart a little if you need to.

There is nothing to fix in this moment.

Nothing to chase.

Nothing to prove.

Take another slow,

Deep breath in through the nose,

And out through the mouth like you're blowing out a candle.

One more like that.

Inhale,

And sigh it away.

The world can wait.

Start to notice the places your body makes contact with the earth.

The weight of your back against the floor or chair,

The cradle of the seat beneath you,

The way gravity holds you without asking for anything in return.

Feel the pull of the earth beneath you.

Ancient,

Patient,

Eternal.

You don't have to hold yourself up right now.

You're allowed to be held.

Notice your feet,

Your hands,

Your jaw,

Maybe clenched.

See if it can soften.

Your shoulders might be heavy.

Allow them to release and let go.

Notice your eyes resting gently in their sockets.

If there's tension,

Allow it just to be.

If it wants to go,

Let it leave.

We aren't here to demand anything from our bodies.

We're simply listening.

Bring your attention to your breath,

Not trying to change it,

Just watching,

Noticing.

The gentle rise and fall.

The pause between.

The breath that has carried you through every single moment you thought you couldn't survive.

The breath that kept going when you didn't want to.

The breath that whispers,

You are still here.

Feel it now.

Feel the life in it.

Inhale through the nose and out through the mouth.

The world can wait.

And in this breath,

You are enough.

I want you to imagine that every sound outside this space,

The cars,

The voices,

The to-do lists,

Inboxes,

Worries,

Are simply clouds in the sky.

They move.

They pass.

They are not yours to carry right now.

Above them,

There is a stillness.

An endless,

Vast,

Indigo sky.

It holds everything and nothing.

That sky is you.

Unchanged even when the storm rolls in.

Even when the world demands your attention,

Your energy,

Your light.

You are allowed to retreat.

To return to your own inner sky.

A place untouched by deadlines and headlines.

Untouched by other people's opinions.

Untouched by old stories you've outgrown.

Breathe into that space.

Feel it widen.

Repeat softly in your mind or out loud if it feels good.

The world can wait.

My worth is not tied to what I produce.

My peace is mine to claim.

I am allowed to rest.

I am allowed to simply be.

Feel those words land in your bones,

Not just as an idea.

As a truth you can claim.

Here and now.

You are allowed to be unfinished.

You are allowed to take up space in silence.

You are allowed to disappear from the noise and reappear in your own softness.

Start to notice that breath again.

The gentle in and out.

Notice the way the air feels around your skin.

The weight of your body against whatever holds you.

The quiet shift of energy within you.

When you're ready and at your own pace,

Begin to wiggle your fingers,

Your toes.

Move your jaw side to side if that feels right for you.

Stretch and expand if it feels good.

Allow this return to be gentle.

The world will still be there when you're ready.

But for now,

And for every moment you choose it,

Remember you can always come back here.

To yourself.

To your breath.

To this quiet,

Sacred nothingness.

The world can wait and you are still worthy.

Thank you for being here and whenever you're ready,

Slowly blink the eyes open and come back into the room.
