This is a Yoga Nidra inspired by the soft and gentle energies of Iridescent light. You will be guided through gentle attention to body awareness and energetic symbols. Similar to a body scan. If you fall asleep, then let yourself sleep, gradually staying awake during this process becomes easier. This is a profound inner journey which provides an expansion of insight, intuition, cellular rejuvenation and deep relaxation. Let yourself be. The music is Cosmos Meditation by Chris Collins.

Iridescent slumber,

A yoga nidra.

Take a few moments to allow yourself to get comfortable.

You can lie down for this practice,

But if that doesn't suit you today,

You can sit.

Allowing yourself to get cosy,

To nestle in.

Making any adjustments you need to,

To find the highest level of comfort you can for your body today.

Breathing here.

You can allow the eyes to close down.

Resting here.

Bonering yourself in this sacred moment,

This sacred space of rest and rejuvenation.

Allowing a deeper than usual breath to move in through your nose.

And let go out of your mouth.

And from now,

You can allow your breath to be soft and natural,

Flowing in and out of your nostrils.

A gentle,

Sleeping breath.

Allowing stillness,

Not forcing,

Just being.

Become aware of the weight of your body,

Sinking down gently.

Allowing your muscles to unwind,

Down their own pathway.

Resting your bones.

Allowing all of your cells to listen deeply.

To rest deeply.

If you like,

You can bring an intention for this practice today,

Holding this intention gently now for a moment,

If so.

And then letting go.

Feel now the weight of your heels.

The weight of your hips.

The weight of your shoulder blades.

The weight of the back of your head.

Where can you allow yourself to soften a little more right now?

To do less.

And sensing your body as a whole right now for a moment.

As you allow to move into your awareness the quality of iridescent light.

As a subtle,

Soft awareness,

Like the volume turned down low in the background,

Yet present.

And we will flow gently through energetic points of the body.

And as we flow,

Allow your focus to glide with ease.

And if you drift away,

You simply return.

Allowing this practice to deliver to you whatever it is that you require today.

Without control or judgment or should,

We just let go.

Now floating your awareness to the point between your eyebrows and a little up in the centre of your forehead.

Effortless awareness.

The right eyebrow.

The right eyelid.

The right eyeball.

Full iridescent light awareness.

The right cheekbone.

The right ear,

Expansive,

Swirling energy.

The jaw,

Surrendering.

Letting go.

The left ear,

Expansive,

Free.

Swirling awareness.

Swirling energies.

The left cheekbone.

The left eyeball,

Gentle,

Subtle,

Iridescent light.

The left eyelid.

The left eyebrow.

Returning to the point between the eyebrows.

Aware and free.

The top of the head.

And iridescent light,

Shimmers above.

The back of the head.

The whole back of the head.

The back of the neck.

The whole of the neck.

The throat area.

The collarbone,

Sternum.

The right shoulder,

Sinking.

The right elbow.

Gliding to the right wrist.

The back of the right hand.

The palm of the right hand.

The tip of the right thumb.

The tip of the index finger.

The tip of the middle finger.

The tip of the ring finger.

The tip of the little finger.

The right wrist.

Right elbow.

Back to the right shoulder.

The whole of the neck.

The whole of the neck.

Gliding over to the left shoulder.

Left elbow.

Left wrist.

The back of the left hand.

Palm of the left hand.

Left thumb.

Tip of the left index finger.

Tip of the middle finger.

Tip of the ring finger.

Tip of the little finger.

Back to the left wrist.

Over to the throat.

The centre of the chest.

Iridescent light.

Swirling energy.

The right side of the chest.

The right waist.

The right hip.

The sole of the right foot.

The right little toe.

The right heel.

The top of the right foot.

The right ankle.

Right knee.

Right hip.

The whole of the pelvis.

The centre of the navel.

Iridescent light.

The centre of the chest.

The left side of the chest.

The left waist.

The sole of the left foot.

The low back.

The tailbone and the back of the head at the same time.

Becoming aware of the whole spine.

And iridescent light flowing through.

Returning to the jaw.

Releasing.

The bridge of the nose.

The right nostril.

The left nostril.

The centre of the forehead.

The centre of the forehead and the navel at the same time.

Allowing now for a gentle awareness of the whole of your body.

The wholeness of your body.

Of you.

Here and now.

Being.

As though you are both heavy and light.

And bringing your awareness once more to the iridescent light.

Like a dragonfly's wing,

It shimmers.

Flowing through the entirety of your being.

Just here for a while.

In sweetness.

Delicate.

Like a pathway leading to your intuitive knowing.

Diode.

Swimming.

I will name a series of images and symbols and all you have to do is allow your focus to glide through.

Listening to my voice,

Listening to your awareness as you allow yourself to relax even deeper,

Allowing all feelings to arise and then fall,

All sensations to flow.

A dragonfly flying over a lake in sunlight.

Rain in the woods.

A warm blanket.

The sun shining on a building in a city.

Birds flying over the ocean.

A pink flower.

Red apples.

Wind gently moving the trees.

The sound of the ocean.

A purple candle with a flickering flame.

Huge rolling clouds.

A lace tablecloth.

Rain against a window.

Music in the distance.

An ancient tree.

Shimmering snow in the sunlight.

A starry sky.

Mountains in the distance.

Iridescent light.

Iridescent light.

Iridescent light.

Present through all of your experiences.

Aware of your energy,

Your imagination.

Aware of your own awareness.

Taking a moment to enjoy the state of being.

Taking a moment to enjoy and savour this rest.

Surrender.

Take a moment to enjoy and savour this rest.

We will complete our practice now.

Allowing little flickers of bright energy to begin to shimmer through your fingers,

Through your toes.

Allowing a deeper breath to move through you.

Gently beginning to move and maybe rock your body,

Stretching.

Taking any soft,

Intuitive movements you'd like to.

Gently returning.

Returning to your body.

To your own wisdom.

Gradually awakening,

Present and relaxed.

And take a moment now to simply notice the sensations moving through your body.

Moving through your awareness.

Having another breath to flow through your being.

Allowing the sound of the closing bell to either bring you back into total awake awareness or signalling your gentle drift off into sleep.

I like the pace and the mystical quality of the background sounds. I didnโ€™t like being brought back/awakening at the end, but the bell was gentle and not too jarring.
