Settle down into your seat.
Feel your sit bones softening to the earth,
Your spine long,
Back of the neck long.
Your fingers melting away from your neck.
Soften your eyes closed.
Just begin to take a few bigger,
Deeper,
Broader cleansing breaths.
Allowing any tension from your day to melt away as you let those breaths go as you exhale deeply.
And just feel your body beginning to settle and your mind beginning to calm.
Start to bring attention to your face.
Notice if you're holding any tension around your jaw,
The hinges of your jaw,
Your eyes,
The space behind your eyes or in your forehead.
If you observe any tension there just allow these areas to begin to soften and relax.
Maybe even wriggling your jaw.
Allow your lips and your cheeks to relax.
And just begin to form a very gentle little smile.
Just turning up the corners of your mouth.
You may like to think of something amusing or simply the love you have for a family member or a friend.
Just allow yourself to focus on whatever brings up a happy memory or feeling.
If you notice that you're holding tension in any other part of your body,
Allow your smile to soften that area now.
Allow the muscles to soften and relax.
Stay as long as you need at each area of your body until you feel fully relaxed,
Fully settled.
When you have finished relaxing one tight area,
Move on to the next area that you observe or feel tightness and tension.
Send that gentle smile into the muscles and giving them permission to relax.
Giving that smile to any part of your body that feels tense and uptight.
Feeling a sense of softness and relaxation.
Bring your awareness to your heart and feel that smile and happiness right in the center of your heart.
You may want to visualize your heart chakra opening or pulsating,
Expanding with love energy.
Perhaps could visualize this heart energy as pink or green light.
The pink light represents unconditional love and the green light is the color of healing.
Just holding this focus,
Focusing on the love in your heart center,
Sending that smile deep into your heart.
Just bringing this affirmation now into your awareness,
Into your heart,
Into your smile.

Bring your awareness back to your face.

Just notice how your body feels.
Notice if the tension that you experienced at the beginning is feeling a little softer,
A little less tense.
Now very gently bring your awareness back to your body.

Coming back to waking consciousness.
