Hello and welcome to day nine of Insight Timers Breathwork Challenge.
Time for a deep breath.
Inhale deeply and let out a soothing sigh.
Let's dive into today's session.
Sheep breathing is a breathing practice that comes from Ni Jin Jing,
A form of qigong.
It's a deep healing practice.
You're going to take a double inhale through the nose like this,
Then a double exhale through the mouth with pursed lips making a sound.
So it will sound like this.
So together this is what it will sound like.
As best as possible when you do this invite your breath into your belly.
We will do three rounds of 15 breaths and in between each round we will hold the breath out.
So on an exhale while we focus on a part of the mind or body that needs healing.
Make sure your body is relaxed as you hold the breath out and I'll be reminding you of this.
So sit in comfortably and take two deep cleansing breaths.
And let's begin.
Inhale deeply and let out a soothing sigh.
Last breath.
Take an easy breath in and easy breath out.
Easy breath in and as you breathe out hold your breath at the end of the exhale.
Keep holding your breath.
As you hold your breath bring your awareness to a part of your mind or body that needs healing.
We'll hold this breath out for 30 seconds.
If you need to release it before then that's totally okay.
Keep holding your breath as long as you can and relax the body.
Allow the body to relax.
Focus on a part of your body that needs healing.
Beautiful and if you haven't already taken a breath in take a nice deep breath in and deep breath out.
And let's begin again.
Inhale deeply and let out a soothing sigh.
Last breath.
And then take an easy breath in.
Easy breath out.
Easy breath in.
Easy breath out and hold your breath at the end of that exhale.
Bring all your awareness again to a part of your body or mind that needs healing.
Relax the body.
Hold that breath out for up to 30 seconds.
And if you need to release before then that's okay.
Keep relaxing the body.
Beautiful.
Now taking a deep breath in if you haven't already and deep breath out.
And let's begin one more time.
Inhale deeply and let out a soothing sigh.
Last breath.
And then take an easy breath in.
Easy breath out.
Easy breath in.
Easy breath out and hold your breath,
Our final breath hold of this practice.
Holding it out.
Relaxing your body and bringing your awareness to a part of your body or mind that needs healing.
Relaxing the body.
Beautiful.
Now if you haven't already taken that big breath in just allow your body to draw that breath in,
Releasing this breath hold.
Now return back to your natural breathing.
Now visualize that you're sat in a sea of white light,
Of healing energy.
You can't see it but you can feel it.
Imagine this energy is all around you and everything it touches it heals.
The sea of healing energy.
Now imagine all of the pores and cells of your body open up and this white healing light and energy comes pouring into your entire body.
Not only touching your skin but your muscles,
Tendons,
Bones,
Organs,
Cells.
Repenishing,
Revitalizing,
Rejuvenating your entire body.
Just stay there breathing.
Allowing your body to be healed and to be restored.
Beautiful.
So now releasing this visualization,
Just simply allow yourself to receive the echoes of this entire practice.
