Hello and welcome to this week's guided meditation.
Today we are doing a body relaxation practice.
In a traditional mindfulness practice,
You become aware of when a thought arises in the mind and gently let it go,
Releasing any attachment to it.
In this particular practice,
We will be focusing on the body,
Noticing any time the body tenses,
Tightens,
Or clenches,
And intentionally softening that area,
Letting go.
In doing so,
You are training your body and your nervous system to feel safe and relaxed and soft in the present moment.
A relaxed body is a happy,
Healthy body.
The more you soften,
Open up,
And allow yourself to receive,
The more your body can give you exactly what you need.
Sit or lay down somewhere comfortable.
Once you're settled,
Take a deep breath in and release,
And then close your eyes.
Allow all thought to dissipate and release.
Let your shoulders fall away from your ears.
Be heavy through your hips.
Invite your belly and chest to unclench,
To open up.
Inhale through the nose,
And release it with a sigh.
Inhale peace,
Exhale ease.
Inhale peace,
Exhale ease.
Inhale peace,
Exhale ease.
Good.
Imagine a bright,
Bubble,
Powerful white light surrounding your total body and energetic field,
Your complete environment,
Creating a safe space for relaxation to take place.
You are safe here.
It's safe to relax.
It's safe for you to relax.
Breathe in through the nose,
And let it go with a sigh.
Softly scanning through your body now,
Just getting an overall sense of where you're at without calling anything wrong.
Invite every area of your body to relax.
Whatever parts of you are ready to relax,
Relax.
Leaving the invitation open for your entire body to soften and relax,
Allowing it to be effortless.
If there are any areas of tension or tightness,
Just let it drop.
Let it go,
Like you're dropping a tennis ball from your hand,
Releasing it,
Opening softly into the space.
If the body reclenches or grips,
That's ok.
Smile warmly at this place,
And invite it once more to release and create space.
Breathe softly and slowly,
Imagining the breath flowing into your body,
Bringing soft,
Liquid love light with it that gently massages and opens up every area of the body it touches,
Taking its time.
Simply breathe and let the warm,
Honey love light of your breath move in,
Creating a safe space for ease,
Opening,
And relaxation to take place.
Invite your body to relax,
Even one layer deeper.
Affirm and know that you are safe in this space,
In this vulnerability.
You are safe.
You are becoming transparent and free to life.
Nothing can touch or hurt you here.
It's safe to simply be.
Continue to breathe,
Inviting soft space,
And letting it release into your body,
Resting in this space,
Saying yes to it internally,
Teaching yourself a new way of experiencing reality,
Completely bared open to life with all of your being present,
Relaxed,
And fully immersed in the moment.
If you notice your body tensing or tightening up again,
That's ok.
Just smile,
Relax,
Welcome softness,
Invite lightness of being,
Allow space for all of you to be.
Show your body it's safe to relax,
Even just a little bit more.
Wonderful.
Together,
Let's take a deep breath in through the nose,
And out through the mouth.
You are now in a more relaxed state.
You have rewired many of your circuits and inner energies towards greater relaxation and effortless being in the present moment.
Each and every breath can be an invitation to relax a little deeper.
There is so much here for you in this moment,
Ready to love you,
Ready to delight you,
Ready to bless you in every way.
All you need to do is be open to receive.
The love and light in me sees,
Honors,
And loves the love and light in you.
