Wild Flora Music - Hazel
Hazel dominates the hedgerows in the UK. Its broad, soft leaves invite your fingers to explore the textures. In spring, the catkins decorate copses and woodland edges. The wood is flexible and has long been coppiced to create long straight stems for hurdles, baskets and other weaving. The nuts are, of course, treasured by humans, squirrels, mice and more. Wild Flora Music is a project to bring the sounds of plants into your world. Each track is created by the plant using a plant music device. All the plants are recorded in their natural habitats and communities. Not all of the plants are musical to the human ear but they are all good conversationalists. I hope you enjoy this conversation. You can find more Wild Flora Music on my profile and in my playlist here on Insight Timer.
