We are all becoming our self, it is the journey of life. As we become, we are called to accept who we are and all we are capable of. Self-acceptance is one of our greatest challenges. When we learn to accept, we learn to unlock more of ourselves. This meditation works with the elemental energy of water to gently open your awareness to your inner strength and light. It will bring you a deeper sense and acceptance of your true self.

Too often we are trying to change ourselves to be what we think we should be.

But to become ourselves,

First we have to accept who we are.

Accepting who we are is an essential aspect of creation.

Whether you are creating a life that brings you joy,

Or a business that brings inspiration and vitality to your life,

Or simply a creative project,

Self-acceptance and self-acknowledgement unlock the door to becoming,

To becoming all that we can be when we allow the unfolding.

This meditation works with the element of water,

To guide you into accepting the energy of your being and becoming.

It also works with your soul star chakra and your earth star chakra.

If you have not worked with these before,

Your soul star is about 12 inches or 30 centimetres above your head,

And your earth star is about the same below your feet or your base chakra.

Just go to where your attention is drawn if you cannot see it,

But you will feel it.

Get comfortable,

Sitting or lying down is fine,

And take some nice,

Deep,

Rhythmic breaths in through your nose and out through your mouth.

Let the breath flood your body and tingle through every cell.

Let it expand to fill your energy field.

As you exhale,

Gently release the attachment or hold on anything that feels out of place or time.

Bring your awareness to your heart space.

Draw the breath in through your heart.

Allow it to flood your heart with energy.

And as you exhale,

Gently release all that feels out of this moment.

On your next breath in,

Let the energy fill your heart and spill over to fill your whole body.

And as you exhale,

Gently release all that does not feel of the time and place.

On your next breath,

Take your awareness down through your body to your earth star chakra,

And visualise drawing the breath in through your heart and flowing all the way down to your earth star.

And as you exhale,

Gently release all that does not belong.

On your next breath in,

Take your awareness up to your soul star,

Moving up through your body,

Through your throat,

Your third eye,

Your crown.

Visualise drawing the breath in and flowing all the way up.

And as you exhale,

Gently release.

Return your awareness to your heart centre.

Feel your connection to the earth you are on,

The air around you,

The sun and the moon.

You find yourself standing on a shoreline.

The water is still and calm.

The moon is shining on the surface.

There is soft darkness all around you.

You step forward and feel the cool water on your feet.

You step forward again,

Moving gently into the water.

Slowly you immerse yourself,

Your hands skimming the surface of the water.

And you continue to walk forward,

Descending until your head slips below the waterline.

And you continue to walk forward.

Under the surface,

There are warm,

Golden,

Shimmering lights all around you.

They are lighting your path through this underwater wonderland.

It is still and it is quiet.

As you walk and you gaze,

You find yourself drawn to one particular light and you go over to it.

When you reach it,

You see a pearl sitting in a shell,

Casting a bright light all around.

It is a beautiful,

Iridescent light.

And it mixes with the other lights,

Making the whole area bright and alive.

You pick up the pearl and cup it in your hands.

As you do,

The light,

The iridescent light,

Sends shimmers across your whole being.

You begin to glow with this light.

You feel a deep sense of calm,

Of acceptance and inner peace.

The light shines upon everything around you and on your face,

Your arms,

Your hands,

Your feet,

Your legs.

You are a light.

You replace the pearl and turn back toward the shoreline.

As you walk,

You absorb all the sights and lights around you,

Taking in the peace,

The serenity,

The calm.

And you begin to walk back up the shore.

As your head gently breaks through the water surface,

You take in the crisp,

Light air.

As you gradually emerge,

You see that the light is still shining from you.

It is lighting up the whole area around you.

You walk back up the shore,

Each step bringing you back into the present moment and into your body.

Breathe movement into your body.

Breathe the light into your physical awareness.

Wiggle your fingers,

Wiggle your toes,

Stretch your back,

Your arms,

Your legs.

And when you are ready,

Open your eyes.
