Welcome to the fifth Peace Beam in the Heartbreak Series.
Let's begin with step one.
Notice how you feel.
Take a moment to tune into yourself and feel whatever emotions are rising in you.
Are you holding any tension in your body?
Without judgement,
Just notice what is here.
Bring your attention to your body,
Starting with your toes,
The arches of your feet,
Your hands,
Your heels,
Your ankles,
And slowly scanning up through the rest of your body,
Noticing and softening each area as you go.
Step two.
Step two.
Bring your attention to your breath.
Continue breathing normally,
But just start to notice the breath coming in and the breath going out.
Begin to gently extend your breath and with lots of ease,
Relax into your inhale and your exhale.
Imagine your breath arriving into your body through your nose or mouth and flowing deep into your heart.
Maintain this visualization of your breath flowing in and out of your heart.
Just stay here for a few moments,
Breathing.
Step three.
Activate.
There is a beautiful saying,
Meet your edge and soften.
Today we are going to use the power of visualization to help us soften into this space.
As you sit or lay here with your eyes closed,
I want you to allow your body to sink further into the solid surface beneath you.
Allow your full weight to be supported,
Just giving your weight to the floor,
Chair,
Cushion or bed.
Practice allowing yourself to be held.
Imagine that the surface beneath you is a great body of water,
An ocean of clear blue and turquoise.
Feel the gentle movement of the water as you allow yourself to float on its surface.
Notice the patterns the sun makes as it lands.
Allow yourself to be held by the tranquility of your peaceful environment.
Notice how the swelling movement of the water is helping you to relax and relax.
Notice how the swelling movement of the water mirrors the inhale and the exhale of your own breath.
Start to notice that the movement of the water is changing.
The swell and the fall of the waves are becoming greater with each breath.
Really allow yourself to inhabit your body.
How does it feel to surrender to the movement of the ocean?
The swell of the water becomes greater and the deep expanse beneath you is unknowable and vast.
Observe what is arising in you.
Notice how this change in movement,
The change of the waves,
Resembles how emotions shift and change within us all the time.
Just practice allowing yourself to be held,
To soften in the face of this passing storm.
Now feel the emotion calming as the water beneath you settles into stillness.
Feel the calm of the water soothing you.
Notice how the water is moving towards you.
Notice how the water is moving towards you.
The emotion of the water beneath you settles into stillness.
Feel the calm of the water soothing your entire being as it laps gently against your skin.
Allow a smile to spread across your face as you acknowledge just how safe and held you are in this moment.
Soften to whatever is present and real is a beautiful and deeply courageous commitment to your own healing.
Step 4 Peace Beam When we peace beam,
We are engaging in an act of love and kindness.
We are intending from the deepest part of our being love for ourselves and love for all beings.
Let this love radiate out of you and touch the hearts of everyone around you.
