So if you have not joined me before,

My name is Patricia Dacre.

I'm the owner and founder of a company called Better Diabetes Life.

I am a registered nurse,

A board certified nurse coach,

And I live with type 1 diabetes.

And what we do here every week is we gather and we try to learn a little something about how we can live a little bit healthier with less stress by using a holistic approach that honors all aspects of self,

Body,

Mind,

And spirit.

You'll see terminology like biohacks for burnout.

Often we get really jamming on a certain like thought process or physical endeavor we want to do.

And when we do anything too long,

We get tired,

Right?

And it requires balance.

So the interesting part is we can actually use our own neurobiology to change things a little bit,

Which is very fascinating to me.

I think it's just really cool.

It wasn't anything that was ever really taught to me in nursing school,

But we can actually do some hacks to our body.

We can do some things that help soften,

Ease,

And soothe.

And our bodies need more of that in this vicious,

Crazy,

Hectic world that we live in.

Tonight's topic is shelter from the storm.

And we're just going to be looking at,

Again,

Ways to find a little more peace and integration and wholeness.

I'd like you to think about a medium-sized struggle.

You have something that kind of gets on your skin.

Maybe something's been around a while,

A feeling that pops up,

Part of your personality,

Part of your psyche that you kind of wish wasn't there because it's not fun.

Just think about what that might be,

And that's going to help us when we get into our meditation.

Tonight's topic is shelter from the storm.

It's going to be more of an enhanced guided meditation.

So what I want us to think about is maybe the movie,

If you've all seen that movie,

Inside Out,

Where there's these little characters in your brain.

And so maybe think about one of the characters in your brain that is causing you some difficulty.

And we're going to do a little exercise to see what we can find out about that character.

Often for most people,

It might be fear,

It might be worry,

It might be anxiety,

It might be failure,

Unworthiness,

Lack,

Not enough,

Might be not being seen,

Not feeling heard,

Those kind of things.

Just think about those.

I don't want anybody to do anything that's really triggering or really,

Really hard,

But this is a really cool exercise to do,

And so we'll do that tonight.

So less of me talking,

But more of you sort of experiencing some things on your own.

So let's get started.

Let's gather.

Let's take a moment to turn off the outside,

To stop,

To come into this space,

This place,

And this time.

We're not going to worry about tomorrow,

Or next hour,

Or next minute.

We don't care about yesterday or today.

Just right now.

Right now,

Right now,

The truth of what's going on,

Right?

Of who we are,

Of how we feel,

The truth that we are here on this planet.

We are gathered here in this group.

So even though we may not be in the physical same space,

We are in the energetic same space.

And that can be very healing in and of itself.

So from this place,

Place of understanding,

Of no judgment,

Breathe,

Be at peace.

Take a breath together and soften,

And know that all is okay right now in this place,

In this time.

Shut the door.

Give yourself permission.

Turn off your phone.

Not turn off this phone.

Maybe just your notifications.

Breathe together as a group.

Deep,

Deep inhale.

Breathe.

We are here.

Right?

If you are breathing,

That means you still are on this earth and still experiencing the good,

The bad,

All of it,

Which is a gift if we can remember that.

But sometimes we get too tied up in all this stuff.

So today,

We're going to step away from a little of that stuff.

And just feel the energy of this group.

I feel a lot of need,

A lot of desire,

A lot of wanting to be different.

But I'm going to ask you to embrace whatever is going on right now,

Because much of our struggle in our life is wanting something different.

And so whenever we are here and now,

And we want it to be then and there,

We automatically create conflict.

So even if here and now isn't where you want,

Just acknowledge that's where you are.

You don't have to like it,

But we just acknowledge that here,

Maybe we're struggling.

Maybe we don't feel well.

Maybe we have a headache.

Maybe we've had an illness.

Maybe we've had a hard day.

We just acknowledge it.

That is where we're at.

Doesn't mean you don't want to change,

But we just agree that today,

Here's where we're at.

And that's it.

That's it.

And it helps to soften some of the lack.

So as we always do,

We're going to begin with our breathing.

And we use polyvagal breathing.

As we begin,

Polyvagal breathing is a technique that we can use to harness our breath,

To shift our nervous system from our sympathetic,

Active,

Fight or flight,

Our dangerous state,

Into a softer,

Gentler,

Parasympathetic state,

Which is rest,

Restore,

Tend,

And befriend.

These states are mutually exclusive.

We move between them often,

Overseen and run by our autonomic nervous system.

So we don't really have control,

But we can use some body hacks to tell our body that all is well.

And this polyvagal breathing technique is one that I really,

Really like.

So we breathe in to a count of four with our mouth closed,

In through your nose,

And you track that air down the back of your nose,

Back of your throat,

Into your lungs,

And into your body,

And I'll guide you.

And then you prolong,

Exhale back out through your nose with your mouth closed to a count of eight.

And just noticing and following your breath,

Breathing in fully and deeply as you inhale,

And relaxing and surrendering as you exhale.

When you breathe this way,

It tells your body all is well.

Because if all wasn't well,

You'd be panicking,

You'd be breathing shallow,

You would be running,

You know,

Your respiratory rate would not be this.

So when our respirations are breathing like this,

We stimulate our vagus nerve,

It innervates a lot of the nervous system of our parasympathetic side,

And it helps us shift.

And so it's super easy,

And I'll just guide you,

We'll do about five or 10 rounds.

So please get yourself in a comfortable position,

Relax,

Make sure you won't be disturbed.

And we'll begin.

Okay,

Through closed lips,

Breathing in through your nose to a count of 4-3-2-1.

Exhale fully 2-3-4-5-6-7-8.

Breathing in,

Feeling the air expand into head,

Into your chest,

Down to your belly,

And to your tail.

Exhale and release 2-3-4-5-6-7-8.

Breathing in,

Filling from tail into belly,

Into chest,

Into head.

Exhale and release to sky 2-3-4-5-6-7-8.

Drinking in light and love through breath,

Filling head,

Chest,

Belly,

And tail.

Melting and surrendering to earth 2-3-4-5-6-7-8.

Drawing in vitality from the earth,

Breathing into tail,

Belly,

Chest,

And head.

Sharing that energy with sky 2-3-4-5-6-7-8.

Full breath in,

Head,

Chest,

Belly,

Tail.

Melting and releasing 2-3-4-5-6-7-8.

Breathing fully,

Expanding tail into belly,

Into chest,

Into head.

Letting go to sky 2-3-4-5-6-7-8.

Filling with clean air,

Light and love through head,

Chest,

Belly,

Tail.

Surrendering anything that is no longer serving you 2-3-4-5-6-7-8.

Last deep breath,

Strength from the earth,

Up from tail into belly,

Expanding chest,

Filling head.

Melt and surrender and release to the heavens 2-3-4-5-6-7-8.

Just notice how you feel.

Let your breath follow its own path.

See if anything shifted just a little.

Maybe do a couple more breaths if you still feel like you need it.

Notice your physical self.

Allow yourself to be gentle,

To be at peace,

Remembering you are safe,

You are well.

This is a happy and healing place to be.

We are among friends.

You are welcome,

You are wanted,

And we are all connected.

From this place of connectedness,

I want to offer you these intentions for tonight.

They're based on my five coaching pillars.

Breathe deeply.

Notice which of these resonate with you.

May we be curious tonight about our health and our bodies.

May we be willing to feel our feelings and seek to understand them.

May we be connected with our inner self to know our needs and our boundaries.

May we be confident to do the things necessary to care for ourselves.

And may we be fearless to speak our truth.

We're going to shift into this exercise and meditation,

So make sure you're comfortable.

I want you to find some stillness.

Just relax your body,

Letting go.

Let your shoulders soften.

Feel gravity tugging on them,

Pulling them downward away from the bracing that you have against the world.

Unclench your jaw,

Soften your teeth.

Let your eyeballs float in the sockets.

Notice any areas of your body that are tense,

Feeling uncomfortable.

And just notice without judgment,

Acknowledge the state of you and if you can invite any more comfort,

Any more ease.

Perhaps breathe and let your breath fill those spaces.

I want you to notice your mind.

What's going on in your mind?

Your thoughts,

Ideas,

Curiosity,

Worry.

I want you to notice them,

See them,

But I also want you to look past and see if you can find some stillness in your mind.

Breathe,

Relax,

And move towards that still space.

Not clinging to the thoughts,

Noticing them,

But allowing yourself to drift closer to stillness,

To peace,

And to calm.

Just noticing how your mind is.

Acknowledge whatever you're feeling.

Notice your body,

The position that you are in,

Where it feels bad,

Where it's tense,

Where it's needy,

And then notice where it doesn't hurt.

Notice the parts that are okay,

The parts that are working fine,

The parts that may be busy healing and repairing.

Notice what you're wearing,

The position of your arms and legs and hands.

Feel your body on the support beneath you,

Perhaps where the back of your legs touch,

Your butt,

Your back,

Maybe your shoulders,

Your feet.

Notice how they feel to touch something other than you.

And if we zoomed in close,

There's a gap and there's also an overlap between where you begin and it ends.

As you notice your body,

I want you to zoom out a bit and notice yourself from the exterior.

Notice what you look like.

Notice what you see.

Do you notice any tension in that person?

Do they look relaxed?

What would you offer that person to help them soften and soothe?

Just notice.

I want you to zoom out again outside of your building.

And there's a body in there at rest and quiet,

Seeking peace,

Relaxing and letting go.

You can see,

Looking a little smaller as you zoom farther out,

Maybe from the level of the clouds or an airplane.

That little person is so small,

They're barely visible.

Yet from this distance,

You see them,

You know them,

And you can still experience them.

Zoom even further out,

Perhaps from the moon where the earth becomes colors of blue and green and white.

Your city and your house is no longer visible,

Yet you still know there you are,

Lying in that space,

Supported as you are,

Breathing and relaxing.

You can know two things,

The person up close and this distance.

As we zoom even farther,

Perhaps to the sun,

And now the planet is nothing but a speck and we are an indistinguishable speck on that planet.

Zooming even further into the solar system,

Into the blackness and the void.

At this point,

Our human flesh is a tiny,

Tiny,

Tiny,

Tiny bit of something in this vast universe.

Yet your mind and your awareness is here in this vastness,

This dark void of stillness and silence.

I just want you to breathe and float in this space so far removed from trouble,

From worry,

From human trials and tribulations.

You can be this far,

Yet you can still remember and be this close.

This perspective is a way to distance and allow healing,

Allow us some space to consider something else.

I want you to now to transition from this vast void of outer space of the universe into the vast darkness of your inner world.

That looks very similar.

The thoughts are miles away,

The workings of your human mind far away,

And you are in a peaceful place.

This inner state of peace that is always available to you.

You can think of this place as the sky and think of your emotions,

Your thoughts,

Your troubles,

As the clouds and the rain.

They are in the sky,

But they are not the sky.

The sky can hold them.

From this place in your mind that's peaceful and calm,

Cool,

Unattached,

Safe,

Just floating,

Calm,

I want you to bring to mind any sort of issue or trouble you may be having,

Maybe a situation,

Maybe something about your own personal psyche.

I want you to notice the emotion that that brings to you.

What does that emotion feel like?

Perhaps fear,

Perhaps you feel angry,

Perhaps you feel alone,

Maybe you feel lost,

Maybe you feel unnoticed and unheard.

I want you to think about that emotion that you carry,

That situation that troubles you.

And I want you to forget about the cause and just focus on that feeling and name it if you're able to,

If you can name it.

This thing that disrupts probably your day can cause you hardship and grief.

Breathe and relax.

You're safe.

You're well.

We will go no further than is safe for you.

You will not enter into any place that is triggering or too hard.

This is an easy and soft place to explore.

It's just a feeling unattached from the event,

Maybe anxiety,

Maybe annoyance.

Just notice.

I want you to imagine a child experiencing this emotion,

A child who is lost or sad or mad,

A child who is frustrated,

Overwhelmed,

A child who feels left out,

Left behind,

Unworthy.

I want you to create this image in your mind of this emotion in its child form.

Maybe notice what it's wearing,

The color of its hair,

Is it well kept,

Is it hot,

Is it cold?

Just notice there's no attachment to this child.

You see it,

You notice it,

And it begins to rain.

And you see the child in the distance in the rain,

And you understand that this child can cause trouble,

Can be hard to deal with.

But you also realize this child is a part of you,

An emotion,

A part of you that perhaps you've pushed away,

That you wished weren't there.

Breathe and relax.

You are safe.

The child cannot hurt you.

It's vulnerable and young,

And it needs something.

Perhaps as you recognize this emotion as part of your own psyche,

You may want to offer a small apology for pushing it away.

I'm sorry.

I know you are part of me,

Part of my experience.

I'm sorry I wasn't able to hold you close,

To deal with you,

To cope with you.

I want you to see if you can muster up some compassion for this child,

This child who is alone,

Suffering,

Perhaps afraid,

Standing in the rain,

And think about what you might offer this child as a means of comfort.

What does this child need?

And today it may not be that you can offer much.

Maybe today all you can offer is that you see them.

I acknowledge the emotion.

I acknowledge I push you away.

And when I push you away,

It makes you stronger.

You yell louder.

You show up bigger.

Perhaps you have courage and compassion and bravery to invite the child closer to come towards you,

Noticing their skeptical eyes,

Looking,

Seeing if it's safe to trust.

Breathe and relax all as well.

Maybe you offer the child an umbrella,

Slowly reaching out your hand as a branch,

As a signal,

As a sign that right now,

In this moment,

You see them.

You see that they need something and you are able to help in some way,

Maybe with an umbrella.

And the small child reaches up to take it,

Softening a little bit,

Building trust.

The child eases and steps towards you.

You see that they are not dangerous,

Only afraid,

Nervous,

Scared,

Alone.

They know they've been pushed away.

They know they're scared,

Alone.

They know they've been pushed away.

Maybe this is as far as we go,

But maybe you invite the child up onto the porch,

Out of the rain,

Under the roof,

Offering a welcome to come closer.

It's warm here.

It's safe here.

I see you.

The child remains weary,

As are you,

But inside of you is a compassionate,

Wise,

Ever-loving,

All-loving aspect of spirit that is never afraid,

That can help this child.

This child who is sick,

Who doesn't feel well,

Who is afraid,

Who needs comfort.

This child who is part of you,

That has been there in the background,

Sometimes claiming the stage,

Grabbing your attention.

And from this kind and loving place,

It doesn't matter how they got here.

You just know they need something.

And if you're comfortable,

Maybe you invite them in.

Open the door where fire is warm and glowing.

Even if they are angry,

Maybe a little dirty,

A little rough around the edges,

You see they deserve warmth and comfort and inclusion.

This part that no one else wants,

This part that your spirit loves deeply.

If you feel comfortable,

You can invite them to sit before the fireplace and get warm and dry,

Relaxing.

You are okay.

You're curious about this young child.

You're asking what he needs,

What she needs.

And you listen very intently,

With focus and with care and concern about what they need.

Maybe they just need to be heard and noticed.

Maybe they need to be welcomed into the fold.

Maybe they need to be reminded they have purpose in your life.

Every emotion serves a purpose in some situation.

Breathe and relax.

If you notice this child soften and warm,

The glow of the fire,

Wherever you are comfortable,

No matter how close or how far,

Offer the compassion and care that you have right now for this nuisance,

This part of you that is not your favorite,

But you do so from a part of you that is always loving,

That understands everyone needs to be needed.

And if the world around you can't welcome this aspect of you,

At least you can.

Breathe and soften,

Allowing this little child to feel comfort,

To feel acknowledged and seen.

And if you feel such,

Maybe the child calls into your lap and receives a hug.

Maybe not,

Maybe so.

Maybe the child is still just outside and you're considering how safe.

You can only let the child come as safe as you feel.

Notice this compassionate side of you that honors the vulnerability in this little child,

This wise,

Wise side of yourself that doesn't need to be right,

That only wants to bring healing and peace and connection to every aspect of you,

Every aspect of your psyche,

Every emotion,

Every aspect of your body.

I want you to sit here for a moment,

Whatever distance is safe and comfortable for this lovely child,

This lovely aspect of you,

Any shelter that you can offer this child away from abandonment is a step in the right direction.

You get to decide what's comfortable for you,

Where you're willing to go,

Where you're willing to go,

How much you can see.

Breathe and relax all as well.

Nothing goes farther than you can tolerate.

I want you to feel in your heart the compassion you have for this broken aspect of yourself.

Maybe place your hand over your heart,

Swallow,

Breathe deeply,

Bringing connection,

Bridging gaps,

Opening doors,

Integrating more and more parts of yourself together so that even these uncomfortable parts can find their place in you as a whole.

I want you to find stability again,

Zooming back away from the rain,

From the place,

Zooming a little further out,

Back to the peace and the stillness,

Relaxing,

Breathing,

Zooming as far away as you need to be safe and quiet,

Where you feel grounded,

Where you're able to breathe easily.

And from this place of safety,

This place of distance,

This place of groundedness and stability,

Consider that perhaps you learned something about yourself.

You bridged a gap.

You did a little healing for this aspect of your psyche.

And with the same compassion,

The same,

Same wise and healing part of you,

We turn to our physical form.

Breathe and notice your body from the outside in,

The skin,

The skin that surrounds you,

The skin that is your barrier between you and the outside world.

Are you warm,

Cool?

You notice the pressure of the surface of the texture of your clothing.

You notice the tension of your forehead,

Your face.

You notice any irritation,

Discomfort,

Rashes,

Itchy,

Redness,

Any tightness of your skin.

And from this place of peace and stillness,

We bring light and love to our skin,

Letting energy mobilize and move to every aspect of your skin that needs healing and comfort.

As we are shifted on this deep inward journey,

Resources are available.

They are changed from looking outward to looking inward.

And your body can shift and adjust and adapt and focus exactly where healing needs to happen in whatever ways.

Feel the skin you are in.

It's 24 seven noticing the world around you,

Giving you freedom to seven noticing the world around you,

Giving you feedback,

Helping you understand safety and danger.

Offer gratitude for the skin that you are in.

Let light and love surround and penetrate any areas of your skin that need healing.

Let the cells regrow band together.

Let fluids normalize and blood flow,

Bringing life and vitality.

Notice especially the skin on your face,

Your cheeks,

Your forehead,

The skin of your eyes,

Covering your eyeballs.

Allow your face to soften.

Allow your jaw to soften.

Allow the bones of your skull to soften.

Be open.

Allow the muscles around your head to relax,

To let go,

To loosen.

Breathe and feel blood flowing through your skin,

Your muscles,

Your bones of your head,

Loosening your jaw,

Tending to your eyes,

Letting them float in their sockets,

Providing healing and restoration to the eyes that may need comfort and peace and restoration.

Imagine blood flowing easily and effortlessly in the tiny,

Tiny vessels that support and bring life to your eyes,

The nerves and muscles that support and move your eyes,

Softening,

Receiving,

Opening with light and love and vitality.

The same energy goes to your ears,

Focusing on any healing that needs to happen,

Restoration of how you heal the bones,

The membrane,

Your outer ear,

Your inner ear,

The nerves that connect that turn sound waves into electrical activity.

Notice your tongue that tastes any healing that is needed in your mouth,

Your teeth,

Your gums,

Your tongue.

Let these areas soften,

Let light and love sparkle and shine,

Focusing,

And your inner wisdom guides all the healing that is necessary,

Delivering nutrition,

Fluids,

Immune products,

Blood cells,

Protein,

Any nutrition,

Any elements,

Any minerals that are necessary for healing,

Flood and invade every aspect of your head,

Of your sensory organs,

Your mouth,

The back of your throat,

Inside of your nose,

Relax and receive,

This wonderful gift,

Move your awareness into your brain,

The circuit board of electrical activity,

Receiving input from every cell in your body via your nervous system.

That is processing,

Thinking,

Interpreting,

Planning.

And right now,

We're going to give our brain permission to relax,

To go into idle,

To take a break,

To slow down,

Invite those brain,

Those waves of electrical activity to slow,

To begin to come together in coherence,

To find a rhythm that is soothing and easy,

Bringing peace and calm,

Soothing and easy,

Bringing peace and calm,

Slowing down the thoughts,

Freeing up your mental energy for other things,

Opening your mind,

Creating room for possibility,

For newness,

For healing.

This wisdom that is your brain,

That sends information to every cell,

Is on target for healing in this moment.

Perhaps imagine reaching up and flipping on the switch that says healing,

Turning up the dial so that your brain knows what it's to do right now,

Slow,

Rhythmic,

Peaceful waves.

Inside your brain,

Blood flows freely and easily,

Releasing its grip so it flows unimpeded,

Bringing everything that's needed to heal,

Restore,

Offering natural pain relievers that our body can produce automatically to swirl through the blood vessels.

Imagine this light blue color of ease and peace flowing through your blood vessels,

Calming and cooling and relaxing as you let go,

As you receive,

As your brain gets in agreement that all is well,

That now is the best time for healing.

Now is the best time to use your energy,

Your nutrition,

Your nourishment,

To restore your body.

And as your brain relaxes into this truth,

Those rhythmic waves flow down through your spinal column,

Out your brainstem.

As it washes over your brainstem,

Your blood pressure slows and eases,

Heart rate steady and strong,

Muscles are soothed and eased.

And imagine this light blue healing light flowing down the back of your neck,

Through the vertebrae in your neck,

Flowing down into your shoulders,

The vertebrae of your upper back,

Cooling and healing down the vertebrae of your mid-back,

Down the vertebrae of your lower back,

All the way to your tailbone.

Imagine your brain and your spinal column,

A light shade of glowing blue,

Blue energy that is healing,

Restoring and refreshing and sends waves of peace to every cell.

This blue light wrapping around your neck,

Around your shoulders,

Around your chest,

Around your abdomen and lower back,

This light wrapping around your pelvis,

In your arms,

Your legs.

Every cell in your body is now in agreement and receiving this healing love.

The parts of your body that need healing are open to it.

And as you're healing,

The parts of your body that need healing are open to it.

The parts of your body that offer healing freely give it.

Your bone marrow is producing blood cells in a healthy fashion.

Your lungs are breathing in clean,

Fresh air and eliminating stale old air and carbon dioxide.

Every breath stimulates the stretch receptors in your chest cavity,

Stimulating your centers that all is well.

Every breath brings in clean and fresh air.

Every exhale releases all that you don't need.

Your chest is open and easy.

Respirations are clean and unlabored.

Your breath swirls around your heart,

Beating steady and true in connection with your diaphragm,

With your lungs,

In rhythmic fashion.

Every chamber of your heart,

Strong and steadily pumping blood.

The muscles renewed,

Restored,

Strong,

Stretchy,

Pliable.

The vessels open and pink.

Any irritation is soothed over,

Smoothed over.

Any interruption of blood flow is dissolved,

Faded away,

Evaporated.

Blood vessels are open,

Delivering all the nutrition and oxygen to your heart muscle.

And your heart pumps steadily and strongly in gratitude and love and pushes this information out through your cardiovascular system,

Through your arteries,

Once again,

To every cell in your body.

Your heart,

Your lungs are in agreement.

All is well.

And healing is happening.

And your throat,

You swallow again,

Relaxing the muscles,

Offering gratitude for the neck that connects your head to your body,

Offering healing and wellness to your thyroid gland,

Blue light surrounding and bathing it in anything necessary for restoration.

To your neck,

Nerves of your neck,

Relaxing and remembering their alignment,

Muscles softening and soothing.

And our throat,

We track down into our soft,

I guess,

As we swallow.

And light enters our esophagus,

Moving down over the tongue,

Back of the mouth.

Light bringing ease and peace,

Healing love,

Attracting all that is needed to restore and soften as you swallow and it moves down into your esophagus,

Soothing,

Easy irritation and inflammation.

This peace and easy light lands in your stomach.

And as the blue light lights you up from the inside out,

Your gastric juices are normalized,

The lining of your stomach is soothed and smoothed over.

Your digestion is eased and relaxed.

The sphincters of your stomach are tight when they need to be and able to relax when it's appropriate.

Your stomach is at ease,

All is well.

And everything that is needed to bring healing to the stomach is being sent there.

Blood flows to the sorghum,

Restoring and rejuvenating.

As the light leaves the stomach,

It travels into your small intestine,

This intestine that is constantly propelling food through your system.

And as the light moves throughout this part of your body,

The rhythm of the contractions are slow,

Peaceful,

Easy,

Coordinated.

Your belly is soft,

Supple,

Waves of peace flow over you,

Propelling the digestive products easily forward.

The biome of bacteria that live in your gut,

The viruses that keep you healthy,

Producing many,

Many chemicals,

Endorphins,

Different things that our body needs to be in balance,

To be well.

All this biome flourishes to its highest good,

The best bacteria,

Viruses,

And products growing rapidly to restore balance and function.

And as the light moves through your small intestine,

It travels to the large intestine,

This large organ that is removing water from your food products,

Returning fluids back to the body.

And as the light travels through your small intestine,

It travels to the large intestine,

This large organ that is removing water from your food products,

Returning fluids back to the body,

Preparing the food and byproducts that are no longer necessary or needed for removal.

These products are easy and soft,

Moving through again in slow,

Easy,

Rhythmic waves that will be easily eliminated.

Any areas of constriction are softened,

Muscle contraction is smooth and rhythmic.

The lining of your entire gut is pink and glistening.

Any areas of irritation,

Discomfort,

Ulceration are being healed and soothed.

Allow this blue light to fill you up,

All your insides,

Your lid from your throat to your chest,

Your abdomen.

Let this light infuse your liver,

Blue light opening blood vessels,

This light of love and healing swirling through the vessels of your liver,

Noticing,

Correcting,

Supporting,

Revitalizing.

We know our bodies know how to heal.

Our bodies are constantly able to restore and repair.

And this blue light brings concentration and focus to any area in the liver or the gallbladder that need any attention,

Any healing,

Any repair.

The light moves now to your pancreas,

Nestled behind your belly button.

This organ glows as it receives this welcome,

Soothing and restoring light.

It relaxes and softens,

Opening and receiving.

Ducts are open,

Glands are working perfectly.

Everything produced by the pancreas is flowing easily and with purpose and just in time,

But just the right amount.

The pancreas feels good to be restored and whole,

Receiving this gift,

This light that surrenders and allows healing to invade every cell.

Moving next to your kidneys,

The light glows around the kidneys,

One on each side,

The light glows around the kidneys,

One on either side above your waist and your back,

Nestled beneath your ribs.

The kidneys glow as blood flows through an artery coming from your heart,

From your aorta,

Filling each kidney full of life-giving blood.

The blue light repairs damaged nephrons,

Restores blood vessel and flow,

Dissolves any stones,

Any particles,

Any matter,

Any disruption.

The wisest part of you remembers and knows and restores how this organ functions.

And the kidneys relax and receive.

They are gladdened to receive this gift,

Producing urine,

Filtering out what is unnecessary,

Helping to regulate blood pressure.

They bathe in this blue light and receive with gratitude,

This healing that your body has to offer.

Flowing down into your lower pelvis,

Into your bladder,

To your sexual organs.

You feel this light from your head,

Down your throat,

To your chest,

Your belly.

And this light flows down your legs,

Your bones and your thighs,

Flowing through open vessels,

Soothing nerve endings,

Releasing muscles,

Softening the joints of your knees,

Your ankles,

The bones of your feet,

Bringing light to every cell in the most distal,

Distant part of you,

Your toes.

Your toes that grow warm with rich blood,

Oxygenated and full,

Repairing,

Restoring,

Sweeping away unneeded fluid,

Restoring balance,

Opening up blood flow,

Healing,

Repairing,

Softening the muscles of your legs,

Soothing the joints of your knees and ankles and feet.

Blue light invading the arteries that flow through your lower extremities,

Infusing your legs from your waist down.

Anything that needs healing,

Relaxing,

Releasing.

This light focuses and brings awareness and attention.

From your toes,

We are covered in blue light,

All the way up to our shoulders.

And lastly,

Our arms.

You feel this light soften the shoulders,

The muscles of our upper back.

This light traveling in the deep sockets of our shoulders,

Letting go,

Relaxing,

Soothing irritation,

Arthritis,

Pain and discomfort.

This blue light flows down the arteries of your upper arms,

Soothing the muscles,

Letting them soften and let go,

Past your elbows,

Your forearms,

Your wrists and your hands.

And finally,

This blue light rests in your hands and your focus is on your hands.

The part of you that touches the world,

Touches others,

That's so caring and compassionate.

The part of you that does the work of loving and working and cooking and feeding and caring.

I want you to feel this blue light on the inside of your hands,

Alive and vital.

Your hands are glowing with energy and healing,

Restoring in your whole body,

Is in agreement that it can heal,

That you have energy to do this work and that you receive this gift.

I invite you to take your hands full of energy and light and place them over your heart and connect with this energy and love in your heart,

With this energy and love in your heart.

With this energy and love in your hand and offer this compassion to yourself,

To you and from you.

Breathe and receive this gift,

This gift of life within you that you are in command of.

You can focus,

You can notice and from this place of deep compassion,

Self-love,

Wholeness,

We offer these statements of affirmation.

I'll repeat them and you can repeat them after me.

And we know these are true.

I am here.

I am breathing.

I am relaxed.

I am able.

I am worthy.

I am alive.

I am loving.

I am worthy.

I am lovable.

I am in charge of me.

I am changing.

I am healing.

I am peaceful.

I am healthy.

I am whole and I am okay.

All aspects of me are okay.

Breathe that in.

Notice how you feel in this stillness,

In this place of deep peace.

This is your parasympathetic nervous system enacted in charge.

Your resources are available to heal and comfort you,

To create new ideas,

Explore possibilities,

Connect with others.

In this place,

We find peace and ease and grace,

Deep relaxation and restoration.

In this stillness,

This is always available to you.

I want you to take your finger and your thumb.

I want you to touch the finger to the thumb,

Making the sign of okay.

At least that's a sign of okay.

That may not be in all cultures in the US.

It's okay.

And remember what you feel like.

Remember how your hands feel on your heart.

Remember this blue light that is within you.

And anytime during the day,

The night,

You can remember this and take a moment and revisit.

Take a breath and revisit.

Relax your shoulders and revisit.

This is always here when your body is in this state of safety and peace and comfort.

Your resources are freed up to heal.

I'll leave you with this final thought.

We began looking at our skin.

I want you to notice any scars that you have on your skin.

And they are proof that your body heals,

That it knows how to knit itself back together,

Creating something that was stronger than it was before.

The innate wisdom is always in you,

And it is more able and capable when you are in this state.

I'm going to offer a few moments of silence just to linger and notice.

Pay attention to how you feel.

Nothing right or wrong,

Just an observation.

Maybe you can marvel and delight in your body at what it's able to do when you're out busy in your life.

Your body's digesting,

Pumping,

Filtering,

Secreting,

Restoring,

Healing,

Sensing,

Communicating,

All these things going on constantly.

You are a miracle.

Each one of you are a miracle.

Love yourself a little bit more for the miracle that you are.

And if it is nighttime and you are drifting off to sleep,

Know that you are in a beautiful place to begin your journey tonight.

Because every night we move into this parasympathetic state,

Which allows our bodies to reset and heal.

Sweet dreams.

Peace be with you.

If it's time to return,

I invite you to once again put your awareness on your heart and your hands.

Feel your lungs and notice how your chest moves,

How your body moves.

Allow some energy to begin working its way through you.

The aliveness in your hands as you move your hands and toes.

The suppleness of your neck as you tilt your head from side to side.

The strength of your body as you stretch.

Coming back to present,

Leaving the stillness behind,

But knowing it's always there when you need it.

Bringing some of that stillness and peace back with you.

Holding on to some of that to help navigate your day.

Remembering you can always return there.

And I want you to bring a little piece of that child with you.

As much as you could acknowledge,

As much of that part of you that you often resist,

I want you to bring a little piece.

Perhaps it's a glimpse from afar.

It's noticing an affirmation that they are there.

Perhaps it's nearness.

Perhaps it's an umbrella,

A place on the porch,

A step inside your home,

A seat in front of the fire,

A warm blanket,

Or a safe place in your lap.

Every aspect of you is worthy,

Has purpose and meaning,

And we find peace and ease when we are able to begin to integrate little by little these parts of us that we find challenging.

Thank you for joining me tonight.

I invite you to listen to this vibration until it ends.

Notice how it travels through your body.

All right,

That concludes tonight's session.

Thank you for joining me.

Be well.
