Close your eyes and take a deep breath.
Let the inhale start in your abdomen and then travel up to fill your lungs and as you exhale just feel the sensation of release.
I acknowledge you for choosing to do this meditation.
It was a powerful choice and indicates that you are already powerful.
Your task is to remove the barriers that distract you from knowing and feeling powerful.
So,
Breathe and allow yourself to ride the rhythmic tide of each breath.
If you are like me,
You probably wake up every morning with feelings about the day ahead and your mind streaming non-stop self-talk.
And it's easy to be swept up by those emotions,
By that mental noise and to remain there the entire day behind barriers that distract you from your power.
So breathe and allow yourself to slow down.
Allow yourself to let go of any thoughts you might be having.
Here's how,
In this moment,
You take charge and reclaim your power.
First,
Just slow it all down and breathe and then notice what are you feeling in your body.
Where are you feeling it?
And if you have thoughts that keep budding in,
What are those thoughts telling you?
Simply notice these things without judgment,
Without making anything right or wrong.
When you pause,
Focus on your breathing and observe your thoughts and feelings,
You come to realize that there is a you who is doing the watching.
You the observer.
You the observer is the powerful you.
You,
The observer,
Only exists in the present and the present moment,
Right now,
Is the only thing that is real.
The you that gets lost in your mind-streaming,
Judgmental thoughts and out-of-date stories is stuck in the past or an imagined future.
So,
As you take this next breath and you pay attention to every sensation of the inhale and the exhale,
Recognize that you,
The one who is watching,
Is the powerful you.
By the way,
You are allowed to have fun with this.
There is tremendous power in having fun.
Children teach us this.
So enjoy this game of focusing your awareness on your breathing,
Noticing the sensations in your body,
And the recognition of you,
The observer,
The true you that is watching it all,
The you that is at the center of your power.
I am going to stop talking for a while so that you can experience being present and powerful by simply watching your breathing.
If you find yourself leaving you,
The observer,
And drifting off into the future or the past,
The sound of the bell is there to remind you to bring your attention back to the next breath.
I invite you to set an intention,
And it might go something like this.
Today,
I will bring to every moment the conscious awareness of the observer,
And from that place of empowerment,
Seek to make loving choices for myself and others.
God bless you.
