Welcome.
And to begin just find a comfortable position.
You don't need to do anything special with your breath,
Just let it move naturally.
And take a few moments to feel the weight of your body.
To feel the contact between you and whatever's holding you right now.
And you don't need to arrive anywhere.
You're already here.
Now gently turn your attention inward.
Not to your thoughts but beneath your thoughts.
To the felt sense of this moment.
And as you feel into the sensations in the body,
Maybe ask yourself quietly,
What's been waiting for my attention?
Not what you think should be here.
Not what makes sense.
Just what is actually present,
That hasn't had space yet.
Allow something to surface.
It might be faint.
It might be subtle.
And that's fine.
You don't need it to be dramatic for it to be real.
And once something is present,
I invite you to turn toward it with curiosity.
Where do you feel it in your body?
Is it in your chest?
Your belly?
Your throat?
Or somewhere else entirely?
Does it have a texture?
Is it dense or light?
Sharp or diffuse?
Does it have a temperature?
A weight?
Does it move or is it still?
And just notice.
You don't have to name it or explain it.
Simply observe what's here.
And now find its edges.
Where does the feeling live in the body and where does it stop?
See if you can trace its boundary slowly.
And notice just beyond that boundary.
That's where you begin.
So there's this feeling and there's the one who's aware of it.
Allow yourself to feel that distinction clearly.
And now gently bring the feeling forward again.
Allowing it to be present and full.
And this time you're going to look at it from different angles.
The way you might walk around an object to understand its full shape.
See it from above first.
Looking down at this feeling as if it's from a height.
What do you notice from up here that you didn't notice before?
Now come in close,
Right up to it.
What's it like from this proximity?
And now step back,
As far back as you can go.
And from this distance,
How does it appear?
And now if this feeling had a center,
A core,
Move your awareness there.
Not the edges,
Not the story around it,
But the very heart of it.
What's at the center of this?
And can you rest here for a few moments?
And now let the feeling come forward once more,
Fresh,
As it actually is right now in this moment.
Now you're going to meet this feeling directly.
Not just observing it,
But interacting with it.
First try resisting it.
So push against it slightly.
And notice what happens.
Now try pulling it closer,
As if you want more of it.
And see how it responds.
And now try simply ignoring it.
Turn your attention away.
Notice how it responds to each of these.
What does it do?
And now something different.
Without wanting it to change,
Without needing it to go away or become something else,
Simply welcome it.
Give it full permission to be here.
Welcoming it fully,
Not as a technique to make it leave,
But as a genuine act of hospitality.
You've been carrying this.
It has been waiting.
And now it is seen.
Rest here.
Just you and whatever's present.
No agenda.
And when you're ready,
Take a slow breath.
Let your awareness gently return to the room around you,
To the sounds,
The light,
The feeling of your body in space.
And carry with you the quiet knowledge that what lives inside you is not your enemy.
It's simply waiting to be met.
