Here's a short visualization designed to help us cultivate positive thoughts and emotions.
So first,
Finding a comfortable sitting,
Standing or lying position.
Closing your eyes or leaving the eyes open with a soft gaze.
And taking a few nice long deep breaths.
Exhaling fully on the out-breath.
And then allowing the breath to settle into its own natural rhythm.
And now imagining yourself in warm sunshine.
A really pleasant temperature.
Feeling the sun shining on top of your head.
Really feeling that warmth on your forehead,
The eyes,
The face,
The jaw,
The neck and throat.
Feeling the warmth on the front of your body,
The chest,
The abdomen,
The hips,
On both arms,
Both legs,
All the way down to the feet.
And now feeling the warmth of the sunshine on top of your head again.
This time there are two rays of sunshine shining on each side of your body.
Flowing down from your head,
Over your arms,
Down the sides of your torso,
Sides of your legs and all the way down to the feet.
Enjoying the warmth of the sunshine and moving back up to the head again.
This time the sun shines on the back of the body,
The back of the head and the neck,
Down your back,
Over your buttocks,
Backs of your legs,
All the way down to the feet.
Feeling the sunshine everywhere on your body.
Resting in the sun.
Enjoying the warmth and relaxation.
Let's continue enjoying the sunshine for a few more minutes in silence.
