Hello and welcome.
This is Padma Gordon and today I would like to offer you a meditation to support you in opening your heart.
Because living with an open heart is one of the greatest gifts.
It's one of the greatest blessings that you can offer yourself and others.
So let's begin.
Let's begin with a deep breath.
And taking another one.
And letting go.
And this time I invite you to breathe in through your heart center,
Through the area around your heart.
Sensing it and feeling it as you breathe.
And if it feels right for you,
You can inhale and imagine a beautiful color,
A beautiful light so that you're inhaling and exhaling light through your heart center.
Take your time.
Find your own rhythm.
You might notice some sensations of softening,
Release,
Letting go that are happening quite naturally.
As you breathe through your heart and as you breathe,
Feel the sweetness,
The care,
The care of placing your attention in your heart center.
Feel it.
Let yourself feel into your heart center.
Because as you place your attention on your heart,
Your energy is flowing into your heart,
Where we place our attention is where we place our energy.
So right now,
You're dedicating your energy to the space of your heart.
Breathing and letting go,
And if at any point your body wants to shift to relax even more deeply,
Please feel welcome to make yourself comfortable.
And you might notice that there are some feelings or some emotions that are bubbling up to the surface as you tend to the space of your heart.
See if it's possible to welcome,
To welcome them.
Everything is welcome in the space of your heart.
Everything.
Perhaps you're noticing the sensation of softening.
More melting just as ice melts in your glass on a hot summer day.
So too,
Layers of tension,
Layers of feeling,
Melts away.
Breath by breath as you rest the warm light of your attention in the space of your heart.
Perhaps you can feel the beat of your heart.
And sit open to it.
Your opening in your own way,
At your own pace.
There's no rush,
No rush at all.
Gently,
Slowly,
With loving care,
You can allow your attention to sink through.
Sink deeper and deeper into the space of your heart.
Sinking down and down.
And once your awareness drops down and down into your beautiful heart,
Perhaps you can be curious how deep,
How wide,
How vast is your own heart.
Breathing and receiving in the depths of your heart.
Your heart is trustworthy.
Perhaps as you practice this meditation,
You may discover the beauty,
The kindness,
The nobility,
The tenderness,
And the infinite nature of your own heart.
So that as you walk through the world,
You walk as your own heart.
You rest into your own heart.
You reside in the depths of your own peaceful heart.
And so it is.
Very gently taking a breath into the depths of your heart.
Letting go.
And then slowly returning to this present moment and in your own time,
You can open your eyes and let your beautiful,
Open heart shine into the world.
