To surrender means to let go of control, to stop worrying about all of the rocks that can possibly appear in the river and about all the waves in the sea. To surrender means to trust in the journey itself, whatever it may be. To surrender is to let go of the worry, the heaviness. To surrender means embracing the fluidity of the river of life, the warm waters, while surrounded by the calm of the sea.ç Based on the teachings of Sarah Blondin. Thanks Oscar

Every day,

When the night arrives and we leave the day behind us,

We practice surrender.

Sometimes it's difficult to fall asleep.

You are invaded with thoughts about what has happened,

Blaming yourself for the things you did wrong,

Praising yourself for the things you did well,

Or reflecting on the things that you will have to return to tomorrow.

Mountains to climb,

Rivers you would like to revisit,

Lakes you would like to cross,

Or seas you still haven't traversed.

And all of this happening during the fleeting moment of a thought.

When we sleep,

We allow ourself the gift of rest,

Mental calm,

Alightness in our bodies.

And if we are paying attention,

Perhaps we awaken with consciousness as we return from some fantastic and mysterious nocturnal dreams.

And as I regain consciousness in the morning,

Before gearing up and getting dressed,

Perhaps even before opening my eyes,

I realize how once again our voices begin to emerge.

Voices that invite us to smile,

A pleasant whisper as I see the sun.

Loud voices that overwhelm when they are critical or give us orders.

Become aware how unconsciously the serenity that sleep leaves behind starts to be forgotten and replaced by ideas.

The same ones as always.

Thoughts about what I don't have and would like to have.

About the things I wish would disappear.

About what this life should be like for me,

And in reality is not.

And because of anxiousness,

We find ourselves at the top of the mountain when we are still just tying our shoes.

That longing hurts.

And if we imagine ourself glaring to the other side of the lake when we barely have gotten onto the boat,

There is too much future and we cannot enjoy the journey.

The present moment.

The day carries on and we are surrounded invisibly by all that we wish to control.

We believe that if we keep close all that worries us,

We will be able to manage it better.

By doing so in reality,

We are living exactly in the place that we are trying to avoid.

To surrender means to let go.

To let go of something.

To abandon that which is no longer useful.

Tank it infinitely.

And at the same time shed all the excesses of the past.

To softly let go of that which I desperately cling onto.

To let go of blame.

To surrender means to let go of control.

To stop worrying about all of the rocks that can possibly appear in the river and about all the waves in the sea.

To surrender means to trust in the journey itself.

Whatever it may be,

To surrender is to let go of the worry,

The heaviness.

To surrender means embracing the fluidity of the river of life,

The warm waters while surrounded by the calm of the sea.

Present,

Reconnecting,

Placing your attention onto your anchor,

Resting into your breath,

Or focusing on the sensations in your hands.

Perhaps focusing on a sound,

Inhaling and exhaling.

Exhaling silence,

Exhaling stillness.

Exhaling,

Inhaling and exhaling.

At the same time with curiosity,

With kind and constant attention,

Feeling the intrigue of what is born at each moment.

Knowing when there is chaos and a lack of harmony,

Or when I ask myself why me,

This is when I must allow everything to gently fall back into place,

With a calm mind,

With a certain amount of fear,

But being aware that the fear forms a part of the rebirth process.

Using the peace that unfolds before you presently,

Faith.

Knowing that everything is in your favor,

Faith.

Without losing your essence,

Surrender.

Letting go of control,

Surrender.

Letting go of control.

Inhaling silence and exhaling stillness.

Presenting your own skin,

Feeling the tension in your body,

Which is where your body stores that pain that should be released,

That secret fear that remains,

And that by observing it with kindness,

It can be understood a bit and can be released.

Surrendering,

So that you can get out of your own way.

Surrendering to this present moment,

Even if just for an instant.

Surrendering,

Unlovingly supporting yourself,

And letting go of the strings that tie you to those dense places.

Embracing that which is new,

The unknown that which is mysterious.

Surrendering to the beauty that exists in this world,

To the infinite which exists outside of you,

And to the infinite that exists inside of you.

May be the flow of my consciousness developing me in a pure form.

Surrender.

Just surrender.

May we have peace,

May we have happiness,

And may our lives go well.

May we have peace,

May we have happiness,

And may our lives go well.
