This is the Loving Kindness Meditation included in the Mindfulness-Based Program: Calm and Joy. This practice will help you to feel compassion towards yourself and others. This practice is usually carried out when the practitioner has achieved a certain depth in the meditative state, so he or she really just has to intend to transmit what he or she is actually experiencing. On the other hand, if we feel that our state has not changed much or that we still are agitated, the very intention of conveying this pure love will bring us closer to feeling it.

Settle carefully in your meditation posture.

How your breathing and posture complete each other.

Generating,

Grounding and equanimity.

Be aware of the space your body occupies.

Make yourself one with the sensations you experience every moment.

Allowing the unique essence of the continuous present to fill you up with calm and joy.

You are like a heavy stone on a river's bottom.

The current flows along by you,

But you are always stable,

Transmitting stillness and serenity.

Allow your consciousness to be free and to unfold by itself.

Your mind's nature is clarity and expansion.

Sensations go through you moment by moment.

While you behold them,

You approach a state of bliss and harmony.

Enjoy your presence,

Trying to be in tune with that feeling of love and gratitude that belongs to you.

Touch with that source of pure love,

You offer it generously to those beings with whom you are sharing this existence.

Our intention is softly transmitted toward those people and situations that need it the most,
