In this meditation we will do a three-minute centering reboot to help you feel more connected,
Conscious,
And calm.
Let's begin by taking a moment to get into a comfortable seated posture where you're sitting up tall without feeling tense.
Close your eyes and set the intention to let everything else other than this present moment fall away.
First I will invite you to open up your awareness to your body sensations,
Feeling the floor underneath you,
Your clothes on your skin,
The temperature of the air,
Any familiar aches and pains,
And any pleasant sensations.
And say to yourself connected,
I'm connected to myself.
Now bring your awareness up to your head.
Notice any sounds you're hearing right now.
And also notice the energy of your thoughts,
Sensing them come and go.
It's normal to have thoughts,
Just notice them.
And say to yourself conscious,
I am conscious of my experience.
Now bring your awareness to your chest and your belly and your heart.
Notice your breathing.
If you notice any tension around your breathing,
See if you can let it go as you breathe out.
Breathing deep into the belly,
Relaxing.
You can also take a moment to notice any emotions you're feeling right now and just accept them calmly as part of life.
And say to yourself calm,
I am calm in this moment.
Now lastly expand your awareness to include your body,
Your head,
And your heart.
Saying to yourself I am connected,
Conscious,
And calm.
When you're ready you can start to open your eyes and as you go back into your day,
Take the state of connected,
Conscious,
Calm with you.
