In order to make the meditation practice deep and effective.
There are three principles.
First is,
That I want nothing.
For a little while for these few minutes of meditation.
I want nothing.
Because during meditation,
Even a small desire becomes the hurdle in our practice.
So I say for this little time I want nothing.
Second is I am nothing.
I may be a lot of things in the world.
But right now,
I can drop all of that.
All the labels that I give to myself.
And see that I am nothing.
And the third is I do nothing.
For a little while.
I don't want to know anything.
I don't want to learn anything.
I don't want to do anything.
Just as we go to sleep.
If we really focus on sleeping.
It is tough to fall asleep,
But if we just let go of any sense of effort.
Then only we can fall asleep.
Similarly,
During the practice,
Having this sense that I do nothing helps us to dive deep into the practice.
So for an effective,
Deeper meditation practice,
Follow these three principles.
I want nothing.
I am nothing.
I do nothing for these few minutes.
