There exist three phases in one's spiritual growth, Revealed the master, The earthly, The ethereal and the celestial. What characterizes the earthly phase, Inquired the enthusiastic disciples. It is the time when trees are simply trees and mountains are just mountains. In the ethereal, That is when one delves deeper, Then trees lose their tree-ness and mountains shed their mountain-like nature. And the celestial, That is enlightenment, Chuckled the master. When trees regain their essence as trees and mountains reclaim their true mountain form.
