Namaste.
Welcome to your meditation.
Find a comfortable meditation seat where you can be undisturbed for just a few minutes.
Closing your eyes and taking a deep breath in.
And exhale,
Relax.
Let's do this one more time.
A deep inhale,
Taking all the freshness in.
And exhale,
Releasing all the tension that might be lingering there in your body or in your mind out.
During this meditation,
There is no rush,
No urgency.
Just this moment,
Unfolding like a quiet river and flowing effortlessly.
You have been carrying the weight of a thousand thoughts.
Looping and circling and returning like restless birds searching for a place to land.
But for now,
Let those thoughts rest.
Let yourself rest.
Let yourself rest.
And ask yourself,
Can I allow my thoughts to slow down?
Can I give myself permission to just be in the here and now?
Take another deep,
Full breath in.
Really deep and really slow.
And then let go.
Let go of all of these stories that you've been telling yourself.
Let go of the noise.
Let go of the should haves,
Could haves,
To dos.
As you settle down into a natural rhythm of breathing,
Come to an understanding that your mind is not your enemy here.
It's like a child,
Sometimes restless,
Sometimes seeking,
Always trying to keep you safe,
Really.
Always looking for ways to keep you happy in its own ways.
Consider here that maybe safety and happiness is in the surrender.
Ask yourself,
Can I soften into this moment?
Can I trust that I don't need to hold everything all at once?
Place your hand on your heart and just feel the rhythm beneath your hands.
This is your truth.
This is your home.
This is your home.
Steady,
Unwavering,
And always present.
While the thoughts will come and go like birds flying overhead,
Your awareness remains untouched and pure,
Still,
Infinite.
Everything will be okay.
In the here and now,
You are safe.
As you breathe here,
Imagine your thoughts are like leaves just drifting downstream,
Floating down a quiet stream.
Some leaves move quickly and some linger.
They hesitate on the surface,
But they all eventually pass.
None of them are you.
You are the river,
Vast,
Deep,
Flowing beyond.
Beyond.
Ask yourself,
Can I let my thoughts pass without holding onto them?
Can I let these leaves drift downstream?
Can I trust that I am more than my thoughts?
You are not meant to hold everything at once.
You are allowed to set things down.
Let this moment be a setting of the things down.
And when you do that,
Life still moves.
The world still turns.
And you,
You are still enough.
Return your hands back to your knees.
Sink into some stillness here as you sink into the greater intelligence of your heart and a deeper wisdom at play.
Keep your shoulders heavy,
Your jaw unset,
And let this divine unfolding beyond what your mind can see happen.
Can it be okay that you can trust that you don't have to solve everything right now?
Can you allow things to unfold in their own time?
Relax here and just breathe.
Gently bring your awareness back to your breath,
Back to your breathing body.
Take an inhale,
And exhale.
Remember that peace is not something you chase.
It is something you return to.
And exhale.
Know that the stillness that you have found can be with you throughout the rest of the day.
Bring your palms over your temples.
Feel the warmth of your hands.
Imagine the warmth of the hands helping to soothe the mind,
Enjoying the space that you've created between the temples.
Bring your hands to cover your jaw,
Releasing any tension from your jaw.
Bring your hands around your throat,
Softening the throat,
Relaxing the muscles there.
And then one hand to the heart,
One hand to the belly.
And then hands to the lower back.
Palms to the knees.
When you feel ready,
You can blink your eyes open.
Thank you for practicing with me today.
Namaste.
