Hi,
I'm Nicole and I am a master EFT tapping,
TFT tapping practitioner.
And today I just wanna share some of the basics of EFT tapping and how you can use it yourself and maybe even how to better understand it when you're doing other EFT tapping meditations or videos that you find online.
So let's get into it.
EFT stands for emotional freedom technique and it literally means what it sounds like.
It is meant to give you emotional freedom.
And this is an alternative treatment that is most known to help people with emotional and physical distress.
But as we'll get into,
You can also use it in other ways as well.
With this technique,
We use the physical avenue of tapping along with talking ourselves through an issue that we are currently having.
And while we tap,
We talk through the negative of an issue and then we go on to the positive or the other side of the issue,
Allowing us to physically and mentally move the issue we are having through our bodies.
Some great issues that can be worked through in this way are anxiety,
Depression,
Fear,
Feeling alone.
Honestly,
The list goes on,
But these are just some great examples of how EFT tapping has been used before and how you can use it for yourself.
So besides talking yourself through an issue,
Anti-tapping can also be used alongside affirmations and other ways you might want to raise positive energy,
Meaning that you don't necessarily have to go through an issue while you're tapping.
You can just focus on the positive if you're just looking to build some positive energy within yourself.
So let's go over the tapping points that we are going to use.
Along with an explanation of where this point is connected to which area of our body.
And this is important because in EFT tapping,
We are using meridian points and all of these points connect somewhere in our body.
So it's important to just understand where they're connected to,
Just so you can get a better understanding of what we're doing today.
So the first tapping point is referred to as the karate chop.
And it's also referred to as the side of the hand.
In the way that I use EFT tapping,
We only use this point at the beginning of the tapping routine for the setup statement.
The setup statement is meant to really set the stage for the whole routine and help us look at what we are working through,
But also remind ourselves that no matter what that is,
We love and accept ourselves anyway.
This tapping point is associated with the small intestine meridian.
Okay,
The next point is the eyebrow point.
This point,
Like the rest that we're going to talk about,
Are done throughout all of the tapping rounds.
So the side of the hand we just discussed is the only one that we just do at the beginning.
The eyebrow point is connected to the bladder and the stomach meridian.
And when you tap,
You wanna tap on the corners of your eyebrow,
Right where your eyebrow starts.
And you can do this on one side or both sides,
Whatever feels right to you.
The next point is the side of the eye.
When you are tapping,
You can actually tap on one side or both sides of your eye.
You can play around with it and see what works best for you.
This point is connected to the triple wormer meridian,
And it also connects to the gallbladder meridian and the small intestine meridian.
The next point is under the nose.
This point is connected both to the governing meridian and the large intestine meridian.
The governing meridian actually runs from your lower back,
Below your lower back,
All the way up over your head and down to your nose.
This meridian actually supports many of your energy functions.
The next point is under your mouth or your chin.
This point is connected to the central meridian and the stomach meridian.
The central meridian moves up the center of your body from your pubic bone all the way to your upper lip.
The next point is the collarbone.
I generally tap right under the collarbone lightly on both sides with either one hand or both hands.
Again,
Just play around with what feels right to you.
This point is connected to the kidney meridian.
The next point is under your armpit.
This area can generally be seen as the area where your bra would be right under your armpit if you wear a bra.
If not,
Just whatever area feels right to you right underneath your armpit.
This point is connected to your spleen meridian and I find it's easiest to just tap on one side at a time.
The last point in the sequence is the top of the head.
This point is connected to the governing meridian,
Which again starts below your lower back and runs all the way up over your head and down to your nose.
Now that we've looked at all the tapping points,
Let's talk about the actual tapping.
A lot of people wanna know how many fingers to use to tap and the pressure to use,
But I'm just going to say that this is something that you will need to play around with for yourself as it's hard to tell you what will work best for you.
But tapping should not be painful.
You may feel a little sensitive in some areas,
But it shouldn't be painful.
So I would tap lighter if you're ever in any pain.
Also the amount of fingers in my opinion doesn't really matter as long as it's not painful to you and it feels good to you.
So I would say just play around with what feels right to you.
So that's just a little introduction to EFT tapping and I hope that was helpful to you and you can use this to do EFT tapping on your own or to even better understand EFT tapping when you listen to different meditations or different tracks online.
So thank you so much for listening today.
