Listen to this audio when your mind does not require your conscious attention and when you're laying on a bed or sitting comfortably in a couch or a chair.
So go ahead and gently bring your eyelids together to close your eyes.
And now you will take three deep breaths beginning with a long deep inhale to fill up your lungs completely.
Hold for a moment before slowly letting go in a deep exhale to empty out your lungs.
So let's begin now.
Take a deep breath.
Exhale,
Take a second deep breath.
Exhale.
One more,
Inhale deeply fill up your lungs to the brim and gently exhale through your mouth feeling more relaxed as you now begin to return to a regular pace of breathing.
Now focus on the natural inhales and exhales as you continue to breathe in and breathe out from the nose.
Notice how your chest expands and collapses as you breathe in and breathe out and you feel twice as relaxed with each cycle of breath.
As you soak in the relaxation you find yourself standing in the middle of a large grassy field.
Just imagine that you're standing in the middle of it which extends for miles in every direction.
As you look in front you notice mile of it.
As you look behind you,
You notice another mile of it.
And as you look towards your right and left you notice miles and miles of the large grassy field.
Look around yourself and notice the flatness of the ground beneath you and the tall but thin strands of grass all around you.
It is such a lovely sight.
You begin to feel deeply relaxed with each passing moment as you notice your surroundings.
The grass reaches your knees and is swaying lazily with the cool gentle breeze.
This steady and lazy sway of the grass relaxes you twice as much.
The field seems very nice and quiet except for the soft swaying sounds of the grass.
You run your palm and fingers through the grass feeling it on the tips of your fingers and it feels so soft and light relaxing you even more.
As you turn your gaze up towards the sky you notice how clear and blue it is.
The sight of the clear blue sky brings more calmness to you.
This calmness increases further with the warmth of the sun rays that kiss your cheeks bringing warmth to your soul and your body.
You notice a few fluffy white clouds moving in the sky changing shapes every now and then.
It is so peaceful to look at.
As you begin to take a walk through this grassy field you notice the contrast between the greens of the grass and the blues of the sky feeling deeply relaxed.
In a moment you reach a small stream that seems to be running through this field.
The grass here is much healthier in all shades of bright and dark green.
You can even notice small wild flowers here and there between the grass strands.
As you bend over to take a closer look their sweet scent brings more relaxation to you.
You breathe deeply to take in every bit of their scent relaxing even more.
And as you reach closer to the bank of the stream you decide to crouch to your knees and take a closer look at the water.
The grass is soft and moist making you feel calmer as you draw your attention to the crystal clear water.
And as you bring your hand to touch the water you notice it feels slightly warm but refreshing at the same time.
You can notice the rocks and pebbles beneath the water because the water is so clear.
And as you draw your hand closer to the rocks and pebbles you notice the smoothness of their surface and that makes you twice as relaxed.
You now draw your hand back out of the water and slowly stand up.
You stretch your back and feel even more relaxed and calm as if all the tension in your muscles has faded.
You now bring your focus to stretching your arms and legs releasing every bit of tension in these muscles and feeling even more relaxed.
And now you bring your attention to your neck and shoulders relaxing them and allowing the muscles here to unwind and feel at ease.
Shake off any excess tension in your hands.
Wiggle your toes to ease them.
Roll your wrists clockwise and anti-clockwise.
And do the same with your ankles.
Let this deep relaxation sink into every nook and corner of your body.
You feel so relaxed that it feels almost like floating on a fluffy cloud.
As you carry on with your walk through this calm grassy field you find your mind clearing and your body continuing to relax even further.
The time has come for the sun to set and you're standing in the grassy fields looking up in the sky.
Looking at the sun which is about to set.
The sky is lit up with bright hues of orange and purple with some yellow here and there.
As I begin to count down from 10 the sun will move closer to setting and you will feel completely at ease.
Twice as deep twice as relaxed.
So 10 the sun starts to come closer to the horizon as you drift deeper into relaxation.
9 you find yourself going deeper and deeper as the sun draws further closer to the horizon.
8 you feel even more relaxed as the sun touches the horizon and begins to go deeper.
7 you find yourself settling deeper into a relaxing state of mind.
6 the sun is almost halfway set.
5 going deeper and deeper.
4 relaxing more and more.
3 the sun has almost set.
2 you're feeling deeply relaxed and at the next number you will feel completely at calm.
And 1 you feel completely at ease,
Deeply relaxed and comfortable.
