
Ocean Of Calm - Voice Only
This little visualisation takes you to your own private island where you get to float on your own ocean of calm as your release stress, tension and fear, and welcome in a sense of deep peace and calm. Once you are centred we then delve into what is right for you in your life right now, as we seek the truth of our being.
Transcript
Let us take a few moments just to wriggle into ourselves,
Into our body,
Finding a nice comfortable seat or you're welcome to lie down if that feels like the right thing to do in this moment.
Feel free to check in with the neck and the shoulders and the spine.
And start to relax the eye muscles,
Relax the jaw.
And breathing deeply and finding that softness in your body as you release and relax.
And allowing that breath to also start to soften,
No special breath pattern unless you want to bring it down to the abdomen and feel the belly expand on that in-breath and release on your out-breath.
You could also place one hand on your belly,
One hand on your chest if you find that relaxing and calming.
Soften your eyes a little more,
Relax that jaw a little more.
Just listen.
Listen to your body.
Listen to your breath.
Feel,
Observe,
Notice.
Notice where your levels of stress sit in your body right now.
Do you feel anxiety rising up within?
Or do you just feel tired?
Maybe you feel a little scattered,
A little depleted.
Let your shoulders soften a little more.
Let your breath flow freely with ease.
Let your arms relax,
Feeling the weight of those arms.
Feel the shoulder blades resting,
Almost like they're sliding down the back.
Soften your hips,
Your thighs.
Notice if you're gripping anywhere in your body,
Where is the tension pulling or accumulating in your body?
See if you can soften and relax it out.
Let your back need to be Olympics flight control used on yourobic mask and gloves.
Let your mind count down if your body is more of a flamboyant kind of face.
If you're a visual person,
Allow the visualization that I take you on to become very vivid.
If you're not visual,
Then really connect to the emotion or the feeling of it.
Let's take ourselves to a beautiful,
Secluded,
Private island.
This is your private island.
Surrounded by beautiful,
Turquoise waters,
Sparkling and gently lapping against the shore.
White,
Soft,
Powdery sand.
And lush,
Tropical bush and foliage and trees all around you.
You're standing just at the water's edge,
Watching the waves gently lap at your toes.
The sand is cool underfoot and the weather is pleasant.
There's a light breeze.
You can smell the salty air.
The water is also just at the perfect temperature as it gently laps at your toes,
Ebbing and flowing just like your breath.
You notice that the waves come and go at the same pace as your breath.
You feel the coolness of the sand underfoot,
Cooling your body.
Any frustrations just pouring out through your feet into the sand and getting washed away,
Drawn out to sea,
Dissolved,
Dissipated.
Just breathe all of those frustrations out.
Give it over to the ocean.
The thoughts that are on repeat,
Whirring through your mind,
Pour them out of your body and into the ocean.
Allow yourself to walk a little deeper into the water,
Feeling it rise up your calf muscles.
It feels really,
Really beautiful and delicious and inviting.
The warm sun kissing your cheeks and the cool water,
So clear.
So clear you can see all the way down to the soft sand below.
You feel more and more of the tension and the stress dissolve.
You can even see it dissolving out of your body and dissolving in the salt water disappearing.
At the same time you feel the nourishment of the minerals of this ocean,
Nourishing and soothing you.
And you notice that it feels like this ocean is holding and supporting you.
You dive in,
Submerging yourself completely.
And to your delight and surprise you pop up on the surface buoyant and float with ease.
Looking up at the beautiful blue sky as you bob gently on the gentle rocking ocean.
Feeling very safe,
This is your own safe haven.
Your place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the outside world.
Your little slice of paradise.
Now that you're just resting on the surface bobbing around you can feel more of that stress and tension dissolving out of your body,
Releasing it.
As you let go of all of the stuff that you've been holding onto that has been stressing you out,
Causing anxiety and worry,
Discomfort.
You feel your body relax.
Every muscle relaxing.
You are weightless.
You feel free.
Rested.
Rejuvenated.
There's a little spark of joy within and you feel that spark being charged up by the sun and spreading warmth through your body,
A delicious,
Glorious,
Comfortable,
Cozy warmth spreading all the way down to the fingers and the toes.
And as you float here on your little ocean of bliss,
The safe haven,
You're able to tune in to that little still voice within,
That little voice of intuition,
And courage,
Guidance,
And wisdom.
And as you tune in to that area of your body that you feel and hear this voice coming from,
You feel relaxed and at ease,
You know that this is right.
You know you've connected to your inner wisdom.
It just feels right.
There's no anxiety here.
There's no doubt.
There's no rapid heartbeat or tuning in the belly.
It's just comfortable.
It's right.
It's easy.
Listen to the space within.
What is it guiding you towards or away from?
What is it answering?
What questions have you posed lately that you've been frustrated about not getting the answer?
What are you hearing right now in this space?
Have you been unwilling to hear this?
Are you willing to listen now?
Can you hear it without fear,
Judgment?
Can you open yourself up to the truth within?
If you feel anxiety or fear rise,
Just keep moving back to that space where you felt comfortable,
Relaxed at ease.
So you can listen to the truth.
You can tap into your intuition.
And you can make the decisions that are right for you,
Regardless of what the external world tells you.
What is right for you?
What is right for you?
How does that feel?
When you find the comfort within yourself,
You know that that is the truth.
When there's fear,
Anxiety,
Tension,
Dig a little deeper to find out what lies underneath those feelings,
Those thoughts.
When you find that place of comfort,
You've landed on your truth.
Maybe you feel exhilaration,
Anticipation,
Excitement.
Maybe it's not fear at all,
But excitement.
And you've just confused the two.
You've just confused the two.
Allow yourself to acknowledge the thoughts,
The ideas,
The images that may have popped into your mind.
And then breathe it out,
Let it go.
You can deal with that after.
Right now,
Relax.
And just revel in this moment of stillness,
Of calm,
Of contentment,
Of peace.
Breathe it in.
Absorb it all.
So you can carry this feeling with you through your day.
Trust yourself.
When you feel ready,
You can swim back to your island.
And rest underneath the shade of a palm tree.
Beside you is a delicious drink,
A beautiful,
Tropical,
Cool and refreshing concoction laid out.
As you feel the lovely refreshment of that drink charging you up,
Energizing you,
Welcoming you back into your body,
Allow your breath to deepen and lengthen a little more.
And just say one more look around this beautiful island knowing that you can visit here whenever you need to,
To dive into your ocean of calm,
To rest on these beautiful,
Pure,
White,
Sandy shores to release your tension and stress.
And bring yourself back to your center.
Take a few more moments.
Deepening and lengthening the breath until you feel ready to welcome yourself back into the room.
