My name is Nadia,

And I will be leading you through a practice of true gratitude.

Be in whatever position you are or whatever is most comfortable.

Take an inhale,

Open your mouth and exhale,

Inhale,

Open your mouth and exhale.

One more inhale,

Open your mouth and let it out.

Let the weight drop off your shoulders,

Let your palms and fingers relax,

Let your stomach move freely as the diaphragm moves up with the inhale and down with the exhale.

Relax the forehead,

Release any tension in the jaw and soften into your position,

Letting the ground absorb some of your weight.

Feel your breath that is with you throughout your life,

Through every moment.

Feel where you're touching the ground,

Through your feet,

Through your root of the torso or through your entire back if you're lying down.

Let yourself grow roots into the earth.

Every exhale roots you down deeper,

Deeper and wider,

Deeper and wider.

Find true gratitude of something that comes up from the earth,

Grass,

Trees,

Flowers,

The support that it gives you.

Choose one thing that you can be grateful for and as your gratitude begins to grow,

Let the roots begin to absorb and pull up the earth energy into your body,

Pulling up the energy of your gratitude towards the earth and feel the energy of the earth's gratitude for you.

And as it lifts up into your torso and your body,

Let it move,

Let it lift more fully and wider,

Taking up space in your body as if the roots from below growing out of you also begin to grow upwards and into you and let that sense of peace pour into you from below.

Open yourself from the crown,

The top of your head and pull in gratitude from above for stars,

The sun,

Planets,

The air,

Choose one thing that you have gratitude for that is around or above you and pull that in.

Let it funnel in to the crown of the head,

Into the body as it makes its way around every root of the body.

Every root that grew up from the earth is now connecting to the energy of gratitude from above,

Settling in together.

And now find something from within that you're grateful for.

It could be your hearing,

Your taste,

Your beating heart,

Your ability to connect with the people around you,

Whatever you can find truth in,

Of gratitude in your body.

And from within,

Let it grow,

Let it pulse out of your heart,

Out of your mind and out of whatever space the gratitude feels like it's inside your body and let it move through every cell,

Swirling in between every single cell of your being.

This magical sense of gratitude,

Combining the roots,

The space above and the part within joining together for true gratitude.

Let it soften you,

Let it ease your mind,

Let it seep its way into your fingers.

Let the fulfilling energy of gratitude spill out around you,

Encompassing your physical body with the high vibration of gratitude.

Lifting your vibration will lift those around you,

Allowing yourself to come into synchronicity with the earth,

With above and with yourself.

There is power,

There is love.

And that high vibration moving through and around you,

Lifting your spirit,

Lifting out the negativity of the mind,

Lifting out any heaviness in the heart and be filled with true gratitude.

And as your vibration lifts,

The high vibration of peace spills over you like rain,

Like a warm summer rain.

Smell the smell of the first summer rain and let the peace,

The gratitude and the connection to you and everything around you begin to stir yourself back into being awake,

Awakening to this moment,

Awakening to your heart,

Awakening to your true gratitude.

Gently open your eyes,

Move your fingers and toes,

Your neck.

Breathe into the nose,

Open the mouth for an exhale.

Breathe into the nose,

Open the mouth for the exhale.

Breathe into the nose,

Open your mouth for the exhale.

Take this feeling of gratitude and connection with you as you move into your day.
