Hello,
My name is Nadia and this is a guided meditation on pushing through what's holding you back.
Find a comfortable position,
Seated,
Lying down,
Whatever makes you happy,
And find a little stillness and trust this journey.
Without changing anything,
Just notice your breath.
Is it in your chest?
Does it move to the belly?
Does it feel at ease?
Does it feel choppy?
Without judgment,
Just notice.
Bring awareness to the toes,
Let them relax.
The soles of the feet,
Relax.
The palms,
Relax.
Pinky finger,
Ring finger,
Middle finger,
Index finger,
Thumb,
Relax.
The neck,
The shoulders,
The jaw,
The forehead,
Relax.
Let all of your attention show up in your heart space,
In your chest.
And with visualization and strong intention,
We're going to inhale into the back of the heart,
Breathing in,
Pausing at full,
And through the front of the heart,
Exhaling,
Pausing at empty.
Inhaling into the back of the heart,
Pausing at full,
Exhaling out the front of the heart,
Pausing at empty.
You are standing on solid ground,
And I want you to imagine yourself in a giant circle,
About a mile in diameter,
Big,
Full of luscious trees,
Birds,
Abundance of food,
Friends.
And on the outside of that circle is a river,
A circular river of beautiful water moving around.
Picture this space around you,
Your animal friends,
Your human friends,
Your favorite food on a table that you can share with all of your loved ones.
Everything you need is here.
You are safe here.
You are loved here.
And most importantly,
There is comfort in the knowing of what each day brings.
Find a place in your land and sit down.
Feel the breeze on your skin.
Feel the sun on your face.
Just be in this safe environment,
Yet there's something inside of you that tells you this isn't quite enough.
I'd like to be in the unknown.
I'd like to know what's on the other side of the river.
So you get up,
And you walk,
And you walk,
And you walk.
Feel your foot as it steps through the heel to the ball of the foot off the toe,
And the other foot stepping forward,
Step by step.
And then start to speed it up,
A light jog into a run,
Making it all the way to the river.
Catch your breath,
Sit by the water,
Take off your shoes and socks if you're wearing them,
And put your feet in.
And ask yourself,
What would it feel like to be on the other side of this river?
If you step across this river,
You prove to yourself that it is crossable,
That you can come back as well.
How would it feel to step out of complete safety?
How would it feel to be free from the constraints of ease,
Of knowing what every day looks like?
Does the heart speed with excitement?
Do the lips curl with joy?
Is there fear in the belly?
You've been here so long.
You know you have so much to offer.
So why is it that you won't step out of your circle?
What's inside of you that thinks you might fail?
How would it feel to trust that when you step outside of that circle,
Out of this home,
That you will be successful and thrive and still be supported?
You have something to offer.
You have a lot to offer.
What would it be like to truly believe in yourself and the gifts that you have to offer?
Stand up,
Take one big inhale,
And on the exhale I want you to dive into the river,
Swimming,
Submerged,
Feeling the water on your skin gliding over you.
As you move to the other side,
You touch the soil,
The soil that doesn't feel like the same sturdy ground,
But feels interesting and exciting.
You press into it with your hands and pull yourself out of the river and lay there and let the sun dry you off.
How does it feel to be on the other side of your safe circle?
The land looks the same,
But do you feel different?
As you stand up,
You look across the river.
You see your friends,
Your family.
They look at you with bright eyes and smiles.
They knew that you would walk to the other side.
They knew that someday you would cross the river.
They're proud of you for crossing the river because they know what you have to offer.
Stand there and feel their support.
Feel them sending their love and support to you.
You are further from them,
But have never felt more supported or more seen.
Trust that as you make the next steps,
They are steps worth taking.
That you will offer things worth offering.
That the ground is still below you to support you.
That your friends are still behind you to love you.
But most importantly,
You can trust yourself and trust your own intuition.
Namaste.
