My name is Nadia.
I will be leading you in a meditation.
Beneath it all is breath.
I recommend lying down in a comfortable spot,
Perhaps at bedtime or a time that you are in no rush and can just drift with your breath and allow yourself to soften.
Soften your forehead,
The space behind your earlobes,
Your eyelids,
Your shoulders.
Soften.
Soften the muscles in your stomach to allow your breath to move with more ease deeper into the body.
Your legs become heavy yet light at the same time as they give in to gravity allowing them to release tension and as if a gust of wind ran over your body.
Let it take any of the excess tension with it.
You are left with stillness.
Your breath moves effortlessly.
Feel it.
Give it space to move into the body as fully as it wants and exiting the body to be as empty as it wants.
No pressure.
No judgment.
Just give it space to be as it will be.
Underneath the veil,
Underneath the stress,
Underneath the happiness,
Underneath the love,
Underneath the anger,
Underneath the peace,
There is breath.
For as long as you are a human being in this world,
There is breath.
Soften more.
Give in to gravity more and as you give in to gravity,
More tension is allowed to be lifted out of the body to also make you lighter.
You don't have to carry it all.
As another gust of wind blows,
Let it take it with it.
Let yourself release what you've been carrying and let it go in the breeze and then there's breath.
There's an inhale.
There's an exhale and at times there are moments in between.
Notice.
Are they connected or is there space?
No judgment.
Just breath.
Relax the body more.
Give in deeper to gravity and as you become heavier,
You allow for more tension to be lifted.
What have you been scared to let go of?
It doesn't have to be identified in words.
Feel it lift off your body as the gust of wind carries it away.
That's simply and beneath any confusion,
Beneath kindness,
Beneath sadness,
Beneath joy,
Beneath it all is breath.
Let the breath soften.
Let it move at its own will,
Choosing to be present in this moment with your breath.
If thoughts or feelings,
Emotions or ideas arrive,
Give in to gravity.
Release the tension.
Let it lift off of you as the wind moves it away and beneath it all is breath.
Your breath is enough.
You are enough and as the breath slows,
The mind slows,
Allow yourself to continue to give in to gravity,
To soften into the moment,
To allow the mind to rest,
Allow the body to rest and there is still breath.
Your breath is enough.
You are enough.
