Welcome.
In this practice we are going to spend some time reflecting on the need to take very good care of ourselves,
To water our own garden.
Many of us experience seasons where we neglect ourselves.
We exist on autopilot.
Days can turn into months and sometimes years.
We suddenly realize that we have forgotten about ourselves and our needs.
We have been consumed with the daily grind,
Work,
Responsibilities,
Caring for others,
Emails,
Bills,
Smartphone notifications,
Social media.
We are disconnected and we realize that this has taken a toll.
Our health may suffer in the holistic sense,
Mental,
Physical,
Emotional and spiritual.
We're distanced from our dreams and our purpose and we're not sure where the time has gone.
And then we realize that we want,
We need to make a change.
We need to come back to ourselves.
We need to water our own garden.
For it's only when we pause,
Reflect and decide what we most need to grow and flourish in this season of our lives.
It's only when we start taking the small steps each and every day to put this into practice that we feel the energy and lightness of new growth,
Of new beginnings,
Of new possibilities for a better way of living.
One which supports a happier,
Healthier life.
Settling into your space now,
Feeling the weight of your body against the surface you are resting on.
Allowing yourself,
Giving yourself permission to step into your own internal garden,
To connect and to listen.
Noticing the precious breath as it moves in and out.
The precious breath sustaining us and reminding us that we have another chance.
We always have another chance because we're alive.
Reminding us that we can always recalibrate.
We can always move towards the light.
Taking time to reflect now.
Reflect on where you are and what it means to you to water your own garden during this season of your life.
Without judgment,
Reflecting on how you might feel happier and healthier.
Without judgment,
Reflecting on how you might feel more fulfilled.
And without judgment,
Reflecting on what might support you to grow and flourish.
Remembering now that it's always the small steps taken every single day,
The regular watering and tending that will support you.
And when you fall short,
When you miss a day,
A couple of days,
When life knocks you off track,
You can always,
Always,
Always begin again.
Taking time now to reflect on the small steps you might take every day in this season of your life.
Knowing that next year,
In five years,
These will create mighty,
Momentous shifts in a positive direction for you.
And as you prepare to gently come back to your day,
May you encourage yourself.
May you be kind to yourself.
May you care for yourself and may you water your own garden,
Always.
May you encourage yourself as you encourage others.
May you be kind to yourself as you're kind to others.
May you care for yourself as you care for others.
And may you water your own garden,
Always.
