Hi,

I'm Nami and welcome to this guided meditation.

It's just designed to ease some of your burdens,

To reduce some of your worries.

Let's start by getting comfortable.

Just adopt a comfortable position,

There are no rights or wrongs,

So make sure that you're somewhere that you won't be disturbed for a few minutes and if you need to just put your notifications on silent because this is your time for yourself.

Very slowly,

Just gently close your eyes and start to scan,

Start to move your attention around your body.

Let's start with the forehead.

When we're worried about things,

We can often store tension and tightness here,

So if you feel any tightness across your forehead or even behind the eyes,

Can you just relax this a bit?

Sometimes just mentally asking your body to relax a bit does the trick.

Similarly,

Moving down your face to the jaw.

When we're concerned about things,

We can often store tightness and tension in our jaw,

So can you just relax your jaw a bit?

Maybe move it around.

Brilliant.

Move your attention down to your neck.

If you need to move around a little bit,

Do a bit of a stretch just to just to release any tension.

You can do that now.

Moving the head gently from side to side,

Back to front.

Doing a little rotation can really help,

Particularly when you're in a space like this where no one needs anything.

Gently move your attention down to your shoulders.

When we're worried about things,

When we're concerned,

You really can carry the weight of the world on our shoulders.

So if you want to move around a little bit,

Perhaps bring your shoulders up towards your ears and then gently back down.

It can be quite helpful to synchronise that with the in-breath and the out-breath.

So moving your shoulders up towards your ears with each in-breath and then down with a sigh with each out-breath,

Just sighing it out.

And if you want to and if it feels right too,

You can move your shoulders around a bit more and then also move your arms.

Just loosen up a little bit,

Maybe stretch out your fingers,

Give your fingers a little stretch.

Now moving down into our chest.

Certainly when we're anxious,

Our chest can get tight and we can tend to breathe into our chest rather than down into our bellies.

So why don't we just notice the breath and just see if we can allow our chest to relax with each out-breath and see if we can direct more of the life-giving air that we're breathing in down towards our bellies and see if the next breath can enter a softening belly.

And the next one,

Just relaxing your belly,

Just relaxing your belly.

That's great.

Okay,

So if you're listening to this meditation,

It's likely that you've got some worries,

Some concerns,

Some things on your mind and maybe it's all getting a bit too much.

And we're not alone,

You know,

We're not alone.

We're all of us having an earthly experience that's very complicated and has ups and downs and at times can be incredibly stressful.

And just remembering that everyone's going through something can sometimes help.

So if there is someone or if there are people that you trust,

Remember that it is good to talk and it is good to share.

But there's another dimension to this in that we are also connected to the universe.

So we're connected to angels,

To guides,

To our ancestors,

To energies that are positive,

That are loving,

That cherish us.

And sometimes it can be really useful to give your worries to the angels.

So as you sit or stand or lie here,

Why don't you visualize yourself,

Brown,

Leather satchel in front of you.

Now I want you to look down and in your mind's eye open the satchel,

It's empty,

And just start to think about what's worrying you most at the moment.

What burdens are you carrying with you?

What's really impacting your peace of mind?

It might be health,

It might be financial,

Might be about relationships,

Might be about addictive behaviors,

It might be something to do with loved ones.

Whatever it is,

Just imagine yourself putting these worries into the big brown satchel in front of you,

One by one.

And you can take your time,

But it is useful if you,

As you're doing it,

You name it to yourself.

So for example,

You just say to yourself,

I'm putting my money worries into this bag,

I'm putting my health,

My fears for my health into this bag,

I'm putting my feelings of shame or embarrassment or guilt over what happened into this bag.

Whatever it is,

Name it to yourself and put it into the bag.

Excellent.

Remember there's no shame in this space.

Whatever it is,

Just put it into the bag because you need a break.

Okay,

And now we're just going to ask the angels to take the bag.

So I'd like you to imagine that a hand reaches down in front of you and picks up the bag and takes it away.

You don't see the figure whose hand it is,

You just see the hand come down,

Pick up the bag and take it away.

You've given your worries to the angels and I'd like you just to believe that the angels will intervene.

They have heard you,

They have seen your worries,

They have felt the weight of your burdens and they will support you and guide you and they will have your back and you will experience some relief.

I need you to believe that because it will happen and anytime you find yourself burdened with worries,

Anxiety,

Fears,

You can return to this practice or even just visualize yourself putting your worries into a bag and then asking the angels to take them away.

And that's not to say that life doesn't have its ups and downs.

All I'm saying is that we are connected to Source,

We're connected to the universe,

We're connected to angels,

Spirits and guides and they are here to help us.

So now that your bag has been taken away from you,

Now that you've given your worries to the angels,

I'd like you just very gently,

Either out loud or to yourself,

Just say thank you.

Say thank you to yourself for giving yourself the time and space to recognize that things were getting a bit much and to ask for help and say thank you to the angels for taking your bag and for relieving you of some of the burden.

Now very gently,

When you're ready,

When you're ready,

Start to become aware of the space around you,

The weight of your body against the surface that you're resting on,

The temperature,

Any smells,

Any sensations and when you're ready,

Very slowly open your eyes.

Remember you can return to this practice or do your own visualization whenever you feel like things are getting a bit too much and go gently.
