Sometimes you need to walk away and that's okay.
You will be okay.
You know that your life is brief and precious and that you owe it to yourself and those you love to take care of yourself.
Quite often we stay in situations that are not good for us,
That don't serve us,
Because we're scared of what other people will think and say if we walk away.
We feel ashamed and embarrassed,
Like we failed.
But taking care of yourself,
Making the right decisions is not failure.
And working towards being well and at peace is the best thing you can do for yourself and for those you love.
So let's spend a few minutes together just building the confidence and resolve to make the most loving decisions.
Settle down and get comfy.
If there's anything you need to do to be more comfy,
Please feel free to do it now.
This is your time and your space.
Nobody needs anything,
So you can let your guard down,
Mute notifications and relax.
If you feel comfortable doing so,
Please close your eyes.
As you settle into your body and start to connect with your intuition,
It can be useful and soothing to spend some time focusing on the breath.
So let's start by taking some slow,
Deep,
Full breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth.
As you breathe in,
Feel the breath as it enters the body and moves down into your belly.
As you breathe out,
Feel the release and allow your body to relax.
So in through the nose,
Relaxing the belly and allowing it to inflate fully.
Then letting go as we breathe out through the mouth.
In through the nose,
Relaxing the belly and allowing it to inflate fully.
Then really letting go as we breathe out through the mouth.
Let's do one more.
In through the nose,
Allowing the breath to enter a softened belly,
Allowing it to inflate fully.
Then really letting go,
Feeling your shoulders drop as you breathe out through your mouth.
That's great.
So then slowly,
Just let your breath return to its natural rhythm.
You don't need to do anything at all.
Just notice.
As you relax with me,
I'd like you to place one hand on your belly and the other on your heart.
When you need to make a decision or work out if something's right for you,
It's really useful to spend some time,
Relax and ask your heart and ask your gut.
The heart is a powerful guide.
When you think about something or someone that you love and that's really good for you,
You can feel it in your heart.
Similarly,
Our gut feelings are equally powerful at guiding us in the right direction.
I know you've been in situations where your gut has told you that something isn't quite right.
And we tend to live in our heads,
Which are filled with other people's voices and societal expectations.
We all need to come back to our bodies.
So with one hand on your belly and another hand on your heart,
Let me ask you,
What are you not sure about?
What do you want to walk away from?
And take this time to ask,
Ask your gut and ask your heart if this situation is right for you.
Just notice how you feel and what comes up for you.
Remember,
This is something you can do anytime.
You're trying to work out what to do,
Whether something's right for you.
Repeat these affirmations after me,
Either silently in your head or out loud if you're comfortable doing so.
I listen to my heart and my gut.
I let go of what no longer serves me to make space for new beginnings.
I am peaceful.
I am centered.
I am grounded.
I know it's okay for me to walk away.
I listen to my heart and my gut.
I let go of what no longer serves me to make space for new beginnings.
I am peaceful.
I am centered.
I am grounded.
I know it's okay for me to walk away.
I know it's okay for me to walk away.
I know it's okay for me to walk away.
I know you know what to do and I know that it's not always easy.
So go gently and please listen to your heart and listen to your gut.
