We're going to practice a heart-based meditation.
And it's really an expansion of loving kindness.
And I'm calling it Opening the Well Within.
So come into your seated posture.
And allow the eyes to gently close.
Or just meditate for?
Around 15 minutes.
So settle into your posture,
You can be seated.
Can be laying down.
Just settling in.
Getting comfortable,
If you can.
And just being here in this body.
And take your attention now.
To the heart centre.
That space right in the middle of the chest and just rest your attention there.
We go about this world.
As if it holds the solutions.
To our loneliness,
Our fears.
Allah and we're constantly reaching out for fulfillment.
And you might have noticed that.
More often than not.
We reach out.
And it's.
.
.
As if we're grasping.
Pfft.
The things we think will fulfil us.
We eventually find out.
Are insubstantial.
But if we can turn that.
.
.
Reaching outwards inwards.
Into her own heart.
Will discover.
The greatest discovery.
Human being can ever make.
That discovery is this.
It's already here.
Everything we need.
It lies within us,
Just waiting.
Like an untapped reservoir.
We just have to.
Turn that cat.
And if we can do that.
Our thirst is quenched.
Finally.
And we find that there is no greater love than this.
It's a divine love.
And one method for reaching this.
Is self-blessing.
So we wish ourselves the greatest happiness.
And the tap begins to turn.
So we'll use the phrases.
That come from the Buddhist practice of loving kindness.
So the first one is.
.
.
Simply to wish for our own happiness.
May I be happy.
So just repeat that internally.
Inside the heart.
And feel it,
That wish for your own happiness.
May I be happy.
The next one.
May I be well.
May I be well.
May I be safe and protected.
May I be safe and protected.
May I be filled with joy.
From within.
May I be filled.
With joy from within.
May I be happy.
May I be well.
May I be safe and protected.
May I be filled with joy from within.
So you can choose.
All of those phrases,
Or some of them,
It doesn't really matter.
What matters is.
What they evoke within you Do they turn the tab?
And if they don't,
Find your own.
And you may just settle on one.
May I be filled with joy from within.
And just repeat that internally,
Over and over.
That wish.
For joy and all that's good.
And maybe a turn in the tap.
But you're not really feeling.
That much.
You might be thinking this is not working.
But the pipes between that tap.
.
.
In the reservoir.
Can be long.
They can stretch.
For miles.
Because this is an untapped reservoir.
That water has to start travelling through those pipes.
For some of us.
That can take a while before we actually feel any amount of self-blessing.
Any tenderness towards ourselves.
But know that.
.
.
The tip has been turned.
And that life giving water.
Is gushing forth.
Waiting to fill you with everything you need.
In some of us.
We turn that tab and on it comes.
That feeling of.
.
.
Spiritual love inside the heart It opens.
And can feel warmth as we are filled from within.
The heart can burst open.
Into states of great joy.
It doesn't really matter.
How long it takes.
Just know that.
Every time you say one of those phrases.
You're turning that tab.
Your healing.
New web.
Given time.
Be completely fulfilled from within.
Your first quench.
Your life changed.
So allow.
The phrase is to fall away now.
And just bathe for a moment.
In any of that.
Life-giving water that might have shown itself even if it's only a few drops.
Take them into the heart and allow them to.
Wake you up into a new and very beautiful life.
And so we'll bring the meditation to a close now.
And know that the more you practice this.
The more that internal fulfillment will rise and become your everyday experience of life.
So move the body slowly.
Strat.
And in your own time.
Allow your eyes to slowly open and keep practicing this.
It will change your life.
You will.
Be filled from within.
It works.
And let me know.
How it goes for you.
May be dropped.
How you're feeling right now in the comments.
I'd love to know.
Peace.
