This open awareness practice is about accepting what comes into the field of attention, without getting attached to it. We use the breath as an anchor to stay in the present, somewhere to come back to when the mind wanders. With this meditation, you step into a first class seat to watch the wandering mind, the incessant flow of thoughts going through your mind. In doing so, you learn to accept the present on its own terms, to accept yourself, your thoughts, emotions and physical sensations. If you regularly practice open awareness, you can create the ability to be self aware and less judgmental of yourself and others - a brilliant skill to have in the workplace and in life in general.
