Part 1.
The Scene.
Riding on the Amtrak Silver Star.
7 AM.
Top bunk.
Lying on my back and watching the treetops and clouds rushing by.
No place to go.
Nothing to do.
Just being here.
Now.
Surprisingly happy for no reason at all.
Once upon a time,
When all was in perfect balance,
I looked out.
In between the Big Bang and the formation of stardust was the glory that perfused everything.
Part 2.
The Action.
If you look with easy eyes,
You can see it inside and surrounding everything.
Look straight ahead,
Soften your gaze and curl the outer corners of your lips up just a tiny bit.
Imagine you have glory ray vision.
Let go of thought.
Blink your eyes three times,
Like Dorothy clicking her heels in the Wizard of Oz.
Part 3.
The Flow.
Because of the flag,
The wind can be seen.
Without the wind,
The flag would be still.
Are you the wind or the flag?
If you are the wind,
Where are you going?
If you are the flag,
Do you care?
Everything has its place.
If one thing were missing,
A hole would form and everything else would fall through the hole and be gone.
Let go.
Be the hole.
Let everything pass right through you and become the flag showing off the wind.
