Let's talk about sitting with difficult feelings.
It's so tempting to push away discomfort,
To distract or suppress or just pretend that we're fine.
But healing doesn't come from avoidance.
It comes from presence,
From courage.
It comes from gently turning toward the very emotions that we'd sometimes rather not feel.
So if you're carrying sadness or anger or fear or grief,
You're not doing anything wrong.
You're simply human.
But you're here and you're making the courageous choice to face those emotions and I'm so proud of you for that.
So let's begin by pausing for just a moment.
Take a deep breath in and let it go.
And again,
Another breath in and exhale slowly.
Now allow yourself to notice what you're feeling.
You don't have to name it perfectly,
Just notice it.
Is there tension in your chest?
Maybe a heaviness in your belly or a knot in your throat?
Whatever's there,
Try not to run from it.
Just stay and breathe with it.
You're not trying to fix it.
You can maybe try to understand where it's coming from.
Maybe offer it the same compassion that you'd give a hurting friend.
This is the heart of healing.
Not resisting what hurts,
But embracing it with tenderness.
And you might be surprised how something softens just from being seen.
So as you carry on with your day,
Just carry this with you.
Whatever feelings arise,
You don't have to run from them.
You can meet them with breath,
With presence and with compassion.
That's how healing happens.
One breath,
One moment at a time.
Thank you so much for joining me.
