A gentle guided meditation to support deep rest and sleep, without trying to force it. When we strive to relax or fall asleep, we might create subtle tension. This track invites you to let go of effort and allow rest to unfold naturally. This is a container where you can simply be held, whether that involves sleep or not. Not to "meditate." Not to "achieve" relaxation. Not to do, but to simply be, to rest. Guided portion: ~8 minutes. Music continues until 15 minutes.

Welcome,

Take some time to find a comfortable position,

Let yourself get cozy.

If you feel an impulse to shift or move,

Follow it gently.

There's no right posture.

Just find what feels okay or good enough.

If your eyes aren't already closed,

You might let them soften or close now.

And if they want to stay open,

That's fine too.

Let your breath move however it wants to move.

You don't have to slow it down.

You don't have to deepen it.

Just notice it.

Air coming in,

Air going out.

Just feel the breath,

Subtle,

Soft,

Present.

You're just here,

Breathing,

Existing.

You can lay here without trying to sleep,

Without trying to relax,

Without trying to meditate.

You can just be here,

Being.

Let your body settle without expectation.

Bring your awareness to the weight of your body.

Notice the contact points,

The back of your head against the pillow,

Your shoulders melting into the mattress,

Your arms resting,

Your hips,

Your legs,

Your heels,

All held by the surface beneath you.

Let yourself be supported.

Let gravity take over.

You don't need to hold yourself up anymore.

You don't need to hold on to yourself anymore.

There is nothing to accomplish here.

Sleep will come or it won't.

Rest is happening either way.

If thoughts come,

Notice.

Allow the contents to sublimate out of your mind.

Crossing the barrier between you and the space beyond you.

Float,

Drift,

Unravel.

You don't need to optimize this moment.

Just be here as you are.

You might start to notice a softening in your forehead,

Your jaw,

Your shoulders,

Or maybe you don't.

That's okay too.

Everything you're feeling is allowed.

Even restlessness.

Even tension.

Even alertness.

Let this be a space where you don't need to change anything.

You're welcome to drift off or just lay here quietly,

Supported.

You can let go of effort,

Of direction,

Of needing anything to be different than it is.

The music will continue on its own.

No pressure.

No guidance to follow.

You're safe.

You're held.

You're home.
