In subtle ways, our thoughts and intentions affect each other energetically. Since breathing exercises help us ground and find the basics of our human existence, they also open up our awareness of how connected we all are. With that awareness, we learn to both be kind and hold our own energetic container. Music is composed by Music of Wisdom

Transcript

Begin by taking a deep breath and holding it for five seconds.

Exhale and relax.

Taking another deep breath and holding for five seconds.

As you exhale,

Imagine letting go of all of your stress.

Take one more deep breath and hold.

And exhale,

Letting go of any stress you've been holding on to.

Now becoming aware of a greenery that's the closest to you.

It might be a succulent,

A potted plant,

A tree,

Or a spot in a patch of grass.

Breathe and notice the air you're sharing.

Noticing the space you're sharing.

Becoming aware of far,

Far the air you're breathing may have traveled,

The air current carries itself,

Always rearranging,

Refreshing.

It supports everyone we know and don't know.

Taking a deep breath,

As it traveled,

The air has took on different qualities.

Some are dry,

Some are dusty.

Some are less clean than others.

How does it feel like breathing different qualities of air?

Taking a deep breath,

People we know and don't know all use our lungs.

Breathing in the same way,

Breathing out the same way,

Staying functional and alive.

As you breathe,

Becoming aware of the breath,

Expanding your body downward towards your feet,

To the ground under your feet.

Every exhale brings you deeper,

Lower,

To the ground,

Under the floor,

Under the building,

Under the greeneries,

Into the soil supporting the roots of every tree and every plant.

You are firmly planting yourself into the ground.

Invited as the network of life,

Feeling and imagining its quality beneath you.

It is breathing.

What is the breathing like?

Is the breathing of the soil reaching lands far away,

Allowing a deep sense of connection,

Coming to you from far away places,

Through the soil,

From loved ones,

From colleagues in different cities,

From lands you care about.

You breathe in,

Receiving,

And you breathe out,

Refreshing the flow by being connected with each other.

This sense of connection wants to stay with you.

By taking three deep breaths,

You will bring this connection back to your present self.

Taking one deep breath,

Settling back into your physical body.

Taking another deep breath,

Feeling fresh new energy coming in as you breathe.

One last breath,

Bringing back all that you have felt today to your present self.

When you are ready,

Open your eyes.

Welcome back.
