Begin by finding a comfortable position.
Somewhere you'll have peace and quiet to yourself.
In this meditation,
You'll leave your worries behind for a while.
And go for a short journey as the sun begins to set.
Close your eyes and notice how you're breathing.
Now take a deep breath and hold it for a few seconds.
And exhale.
Keeping your breathing at a slower pace if it feels good.
Breathing slowly.
Taking your time.
If there are any tensions in your body,
They are beginning to soften.
Your body is becoming soft and heavy and relaxed.
Now as your body is relaxed,
You imagine you're about to leave the building where you work.
The sun is setting and you need to go out for fresh air.
Before you leave,
You decide to leave a note.
Now take some time to leave that note.
You leave the note and open a door to step outside.
A beautiful expansive view greets you.
The sunset is dropping colors of orange,
Red and purple on the horizon.
It is warm and comfortable.
And you smell the earthly scents of nature.
Plants,
Gardens or fruits,
Whatever makes you feel good.
You start walking towards a beach.
At the dock,
A sturdy small boat awaits you.
Take a firm step into the boat and find a relaxing position.
You hear the gentle sounds of the rippling water.
And birds and small critters enjoying the shore.
The sun has set.
And the night has fallen around you.
It is dark.
And although you cannot see the water clearly,
You are still safe and your body is comfortable.
Breathing in the warm air.
Listening to the sounds of the gentle waves.
Smelling the scents of water and acridic life.
You wait very patiently for your eyesight to adjust to the dark.
Because you know a good timing will always come.
Now you notice shimmers of light appear in the water.
As your eyes continue to adjust,
You see so much more of the beautiful glow.
The lights are moving around,
Glowing and doing what they need to do.
Out of the deep darkness,
Light has appeared.
You sway gently in the boat to the rhythm of the lights.
Now you hear small splashes of water.
Your boat is beginning to take you back to the shore.
Across the night of both darkness and light.
Moving across the water and now arriving at the shore.
You step out onto the sturdy dock,
Then onto the farm ground.
Notice what time of day it is now.
You have experienced what it's like to be part of the amazing network of nature.
And you're ready to come back to your physical body.
Taking one breath,
Settling back to your physical body.
Taking another breath,
Feeling fresh new energy coming in as you breathe.
One more breath in and exhale.
When you're ready,
Open your eyes.
