Good evening and welcome to this perfect moment to relax,
Unwind,
And fall asleep.
I am Melissa and I'll be taking you to a beautiful forest to meet Frankie the forest kitty.
Getting comfortable in your bed.
You can stretch or wiggle a little bit to get more comfortable.
Allowing your body to relax and your eyes to close if they haven't.
And trusting that deep restful sleep is coming your way.
You can follow the story or relax any trying or doing and simply hear my words letting my voice fall around you.
You find yourself flying and floating above the green canopy of a forest.
The trees are lush.
The branches full with leaves.
Some are dark green and some are light green still bursting into life.
The leaves rustle in the warm breeze.
The sun is friendly and welcoming.
Spreading its light on this expansive forest.
On all the animals and all the plants that are eager to soak up the daylight.
Birds are flying around and chirping in different sounds.
Some are higher pitched,
Urgent,
And short.
And some are lower pitched,
Rhythmic,
And looping.
And as they communicate,
They're also finding food and building nests.
You see some of them circling high up in the air.
And some of them jumping from tree to tree and scouting around different branches.
A little herd of deers are finding rest under some shade.
Some of them sitting still.
Some of them lazily grazing.
The pleasant buzzing of honeybees are working away.
And they add to the liveliness of the forest.
As they make little petals of flowers flicker.
The trees are active and synthesizing.
And you gladly breathe in the fresh warm air above the trees.
It must be deliciously cool and comfortable under the shade.
The deers have the right idea.
You fly and scan for any patch of long soft grass that has some tree shades on it.
And as you search,
A small stream came into view.
Oh,
That's even better.
It would be nice to rest somewhere that you can listen to the trickle of water as you rest.
You come to the top of a tree next to the stream.
Leaves rustle.
Small branches shaking and sharing its space with you.
You feel the leaves,
Buds,
And twigs brush against you.
They're a little scratchy,
But also soft and cool.
You relax to those sensations.
It is fine to let nature touch you as you come close to it.
The sounds and the sensations respond to your movements.
As you settle down on the treetop.
And then the movements slow down as you get settled.
You start to smell the scents.
The leaves of the treetop provide some earthy humidity mixed with warm sunlight.
Reflecting off of the shiny leaves.
It smells a little wet,
A little earthy,
With a tinge of green.
As you breathe,
A cooler breeze comes across your nose.
As if the water vaporizing from the stream is sprinkling tiny droplets through the air.
You take a deep breath.
Breathing in.
Breathing out.
You hear the soothing sounds of your own breath.
In and out.
You can also hear the stream better.
The gurgling sounds of water make you feel content and relaxed.
It's not a big sound.
But you can hear it better now.
Showing how much there is to discover when there's a chance to quiet down.
The sounds of a flowing stream seem to make you feel nice and cool.
As it carries away any worries.
The sounds of splashing into the water.
Sounds of splashing into rocks and the shore.
Sounds of sprinkling water.
Sunlight reflects on the movement of the water.
Dazzling diamonds dance and play.
Making magic along with the water movement.
This is a great spot for a rest.
You hop off of the treetop and descend gently to the grass below.
The shiny grass is several shades brighter than the tree leaves.
The texture is soft and it's also smooth and dry.
You touch the grass letting your hands or palms or fingers run through the patches.
Running through the blades of grass.
You notice how wide each blade of the grass is.
Which is not very much making them very soft as a patch.
You can touch some of the soil beneath.
It's also warm and dry.
Not far from the tree is a little patch of flattened grass.
It's quite possible that some deers have chosen to rest nearby as well.
You feel the cool temperature on the grass under the shade of this tree.
The tree leaves are still growing so you can see the shadows of branches layering on the ground.
Like an extensive network.
Some places have a fuller shade because of the fuller leaves.
And some places have the dancing shadows of swaying branches.
As sunlight still spills through those branches to shine on the ground.
It will offer you some more warmth.
If you choose to sit under the shadows of the branches rather than the full shade under tree leaves.
As you enjoy considering your options you hear a greeting of meow.
Just several steps away from you on the ground is a gray cat.
With shiny handsome long hair and bright green eyes.
It is looking up at you waiting for your acknowledgement.
You greet this cat in your own way.
Once you greeted the cat you learned its name.
It's Frankie.
He shakes his back a little.
And you see that he is carrying a kitty pack on him.
A light brown little backpack pouch.
Worn securely on his back.
He guided you to a comfortable patch of grass and you followed.
In your amazement the kitty shakes its back again.
And takes off his little kitty pack.
With his paws and his nose he reaches into the backpack.
To take things out one by one.
First he took out a picnic blanket.
He motions to you.
And you took the blanket and help shake it and spread it out on the ground.
Yes that will help prevent any food from dropping on the forest floor.
A very nice blanket.
What a thoughtful kitty.
And then to more of your amazement.
Frankie takes out a bottle of milk and a bottle of tea.
How nice of him.
You can mix milk and tea to your liking.
These are for you.
And offers.
They're not for me.
And lastly Frankie reaches into the kitty pack.
And takes out a small dish of cookies.
It is your favorite type of cookie.
You place everything nicely on the picnic blanket.
And Frankie closes his kitty pack neatly.
What an amazing magical pack he has.
To fit in so many different things.
In this little bag.
That fits just right on Frankie's back.
You thank him for the nice food and drink he's sharing with you.
And you start enjoying them.
He accepts your thanks with a calm and satisfied expression.
Squinting his eyes.
Moving his ears.
And then he found a spot.
Circles around.
And sits down.
And curls his bushy tail around him.
He's here to enjoy the lively and relaxing forest.
Here you are surrounded by sunlight.
By songbirds.
A beautiful stream.
And critters out and about for their business.
You enjoy any portion of the snacks that Frankie gave you.
Savoring the taste.
Taste of the drink.
The cookies.
The texture and the sweetness.
You savor the smell.
The sensations of the food in your mouth.
There's nothing to do and nothing else to think about.
Other than feeling joyful and thankful for this food.
For this magical encounter.
And enjoying the pleasant sensations it is bringing you.
When you feel like you have had enough.
You stop eating and drinking.
Taking a satisfying breath.
Now you can hear the breathing of the kitty.
He is so relaxed.
Making small wheezing sounds.
You listen to the sounds.
And seeing the kitty breathing and napping peacefully.
The sounds matching.
The movement of his chest.
His whiskers moving to the breath.
You take a deep breath in.
You feel joy and satisfaction.
Perhaps your nice company makes Frankie at ease.
And helps him fall asleep.
His eyes are closed in a curve.
His belly expands and contracts with his breath.
As it expands.
His bushy fur also expands.
And moves with a slow rhythm.
His gray hair moves to the side.
And reveals the pale light skin below.
And once again as he breathes.
It is covered when the fur moves back in place.
His whiskers move gently.
As his nose slightly rises and folds.
Sometimes a breeze comes through.
And you see the whiskers and the tips of his ears move around.
But the cat remains unbothered and unstartled.
Even an occasional insect or bee.
Coming through his whiskers.
Doesn't change a thing.
He continues to nap.
As if he knows.
That little by little.
These small movements and signs of life around him.
Become part of his nap.
Like the air flowing and the stream running.
It is all part of his nap.
The kitty sleeps.
As it is his nature.
His fur soaks in the sunlight.
Keeping him warm and relaxed.
You find pillows on the blanket.
And feel it is time for you to lie down as well.
The shade is perfect.
There is no sunlight in your eyes.
And the sun is only in whatever place you want to be warm.
You find blankets under your bed.
So that it can support you well.
And the pillows support the shape of your body.
So comfortably.
As they stay in place.
And not only the pillows and blankets.
But the sunlight.
Its acid the forest allows.
Encourages so many pockets of rest.
And nap.
And sleep.
It is so natural to rest.
The babbling creek continues flowing.
The bees continue harvesting.
And it is so natural to rest.
The birds continue chirping.
The deers continue traveling.
The tree leaves continue whispering.
It is so natural to rest.
The forest's movement.
Offers so much blessing for your quietude.
With the kitty's example and camaraderie.
You rest like a napping kitty.
You sense your hair on your head.
And on your body.
Feel the roots of those hair.
Feel those hair.
Reaching into air.
And perhaps draping onto your body.
Gently.
Gently attached to your skin.
Gently existing.
Between your skin and the world.
You notice their very subtle movements.
Of your hair.
As a sign of your life.
As a sign that you are at rest.
Breathing.
Breathing as they move subtly.
As you are recovering and replenishing.
Like a healthy animal.
Your hair looks beautiful.
In this very subtle movement.
You feel your belly moving.
As your breath slows down.
Your belly is warm and soft.
Like a nice huggable pillow.
Your belly is just like the kitty's belly.
It's a soft and vulnerable part of the body.
When you can see the belly.
You are seeing so much relaxation.
So much sense of safety.
And a lot of trust and ease.
You see this in the kitty as it naps.
You think of your own belly as the same.
A part of you where trust and ease can be expressed.
Expanding as you breathe in.
Contracting as you breathe out.
You can share this soft part of you.
With someone who loves you.
Feeling this expression of relaxation.
And of safety and rest.
Your belly in a state of safety and rest.
Your body in a state of safety and rest.
In companion with this forest kitty.
Together in this warm friendly forest.
Napping.
And here we conclude the story.
Of meeting Frankie the forest kitty.
It has been a pleasure to guide you.
May you rest well.
Good night.
