This is a body scan meditation that brings our kind awareness to a physical pain or discomfort towards the end. We will practice noticing and naming the discomfort, noticing our thoughts and emotional response to it, and trying to send it compassion. This helps us both be an observer and avoid overly engaging with a discomfort, at the same time inviting compassion for our experiences.
