Welcome everyone to my channel.
My name is Megan today.
I'm going to leave you through a post workout stretch So this is a great stretch to do after you've done a workout or if you just want like a really nice Stretchy stretch throughout the day.
These are some of the poses that I do after I do a workout and So we're going to work the full body here.
So find your mat.
Get nice and comfortable in a cross-legged position.
And we're just going to release some tension through the neck.
So drop your right ear over your right shoulder.
Left hand reaches away.
And maybe you use that right hand just to guide that ear closer towards your shoulder.
Just drop that chin a little bit towards the chest.
You should feel this now in the back of your neck.
Come all the way back through to center.
Reach that right arm up and over towards the left side of your mat.
Rotate that heart up towards the sky.
Feel this nice side body stretch.
And come all the way back through to center.
Switch the cross of your feet.
And let's go to the other side.
Left ear over left shoulder.
Use your hand to guide that.
Ear closer towards the mat and extend through that right arm.
And go ahead and drop that chin down towards the chest.
Feel the stretch a little bit more in the back of the neck.
Come through to center,
Lift up,
Left arm reaches up and over towards the right.
Rotate that heart up,
Feel this nice side body stretch breathing into the lungs and the ribcage.
Come through the center.
Let's meet in a tabletop pose moving through a couple of rounds of cat cow.
So dropping the belly,
Shining your heart forward on the inhale.
And arch through the back,
Tuck your chin in for the exhale.
Inhale for your cow pose.
Exhale for cat.
Move through a couple of rounds here.
Beautiful,
Come back through to tabletop pose.
Keep your knees as they are,
Hips as they are.
Walk your hands out in front of you.
Bring yourself down towards the mat for your puppy pose stretch.
Forearms are on your mat,
Forehead towards the ground.
Keep a little engagement through that stomach,
So you're feeling this more in the upper and mid-back.
Really allowing that heart center to come down towards the mat.
From here,
You're just going to look forward,
Walk the hands back into place.
Take that right knee behind your right wrist.
Find your pigeon pose.
So keeping that foot a little bit more closer towards the body,
Extend through that back leg.
Press down into your mat,
Lift up into a little back bend here,
So reach that heart forward.
And if you'd like to extend this and go a little deeper,
Bring the hands behind you,
Interlace them,
Draw the knuckles down and away.
And then we'll release,
Folding all the way down into our pigeon pose.
If you were all the way down,
Begin to lift up.
And you can stay as you are for just a few breaths or find a quad stretch by bending into that back knee,
Reaching behind you and drawing that leg as close as you can towards the body.
And then we'll release that.
Bring that front leg back into your table top pose.
Maybe just sway the hips from side to side.
We'll go into the other side.
Left knee behind your left wrist.
Extend through that back leg.
Lift up nice and tall.
Find your little back bend here.
And then you can interlace your fingers behind you,
Opposite thumb on top,
Draw the knuckles down and away,
Open up through the body.
And then release coming all the way down into your pigeon pose.
Come all the way up,
Staying as you are,
If that feels good to you,
Or finding your quad stretch.
Reaching behind you,
Drawing that leg in towards you.
And then releasing that leg.
Dapping back into your tabletop pose.
This time we'll bring the big toes together,
Knees nice and wide.
Sinking our hips back.
And just finding a thread the needle variation here,
So drawing that right arm underneath you.
Reaching as far as you can.
Interlacing the left fingers with the right.
Press down into your mat or the ground.
And breathe as deep as you can into the upper back.
Into the ribs.
Beautiful release.
Come back through the center,
Switch to the other side.
Left arm underneath your right.
Extend as far as you can and then press both hands into your mat Come back through to center.
Just one breath,
Reaching the arms out long in front of you.
Release down.
Then walking the hands back in,
Drawing the knees together.
And just taking a moment here.
In a nice comfortable position.
If you've done a workout,
I highly suggest.
Taking Shavasana just for a couple of breaths,
Couple of moments.
If you have to rock and roll on with the rest of your day,
Meet me in a sitting position,
Any way that is comfortable to you.
We'll draw the palms together to touch.
Take a deep breath in.
Long breath out.
Honoring this time that you have committed to yourself.
To your health and to your well-being.
We bow forward and say.
Namaste.
Thank you so much,
Beautiful souls,
For joining me today for your post-workout stretch.
Thanks for joining.
