Welcome everyone to your guided meditation to melt stress away.

My name is Megan Farrell and I will be taking you through your meditation today.

This meditation is intended to help you completely relax and remove stress from your life.

Before we begin our meditation let's go ahead and remove any tension and stress from our physical bodies.

So we'll be doing an exercise called tense and release.

So wherever you are finding a nice comfortable position closing down the eyes and breathing.

When I say an area of the body you're going to tense on the inhale and then on the exhale you're going to release and relax the area.

So we tighten and squeeze the area on the inhale and on your exhale you're going to release and relax that specific area.

So we'll begin by bringing our awareness to the feet and the toes.

On an inhale squeeze the feet squeeze the toes and exhale release relax bringing your awareness to the legs the shins the calves the knees and thighs.

Inhale to squeeze that entire area squeeze squeeze and exhale to release physical tension from your legs.

Bringing your awareness to the hips the glutes and the pelvis.

Inhale to squeeze scrunch the area up and exhale releasing relaxing.

Bringing your awareness now to the core and the back inhale to tighten tense it up squeeze it up exhale relax release the tension.

Bringing your awareness to the arms the shoulders the biceps the triceps and forearms.

Go ahead and squeeze this area squeeze it up and as you exhale physically relaxing your arms.

Bring your awareness to the fingers and your hands inhale to tighten and squeeze them and exhale to release relax soften.

Bring your awareness to your face the neck the jaw the space between your eyebrows.

On an inhale squeeze it up and exhale to soften and relax release the tension from your face.

Now from crown of the head to your toes squeeze the entire body is squeeze squeeze squeeze and exhale relax your whole body.

Allow the shoulders to soften allow the fingers to relax allow the tongue to come away from the roof of your mouth.

Relax the feet relax the hips relax your body soften.

Bring your awareness to your belly button.

Focus on your navel as the breath moves in and out of your body.

Inhale belly rise exhale belly falls inhale belly rises exhale belly falls inhale belly rises exhale belly falls keep going Imagine you are standing in the most beautiful spa.

You are completely safe in this space and feel utterly secure.

You're wrapped in a soft white fluffy towel.

It's so warm and comforting like a giant hug.

You're standing in front of a cedar door and gently pull the door open.

An aroma of eucalyptus meets you and you step into the steam room.

The room is big and open the walls floor and ceiling covered in cedar.

You have the space completely to yourself and you make your way over to the bench to sit down.

It's the perfect temperature not too hot but warm enough that it feels like a beautiful summer day.

The air is thick with steam and feels dewy almost as though you were sitting in a cloud.

You can smell and taste the fragrance of eucalyptus not overpowering but enough to let you know it's there.

It's quiet but you can hear the sound of your breathing as your exhalations become longer and you feel yourself relaxing and slowing down.

You feel your body completely relaxing feeling stress melt away from you with each breath.

Your mind stops racing and you are simply focused and completely present as you close your eyes and focus on the inhales through your nose and exhales as the breath leaves your body.

Now on your own here inhales through the nose exhale as the breath leaves your body inhale in through the nose and exhale as the breath leaves the body.

You you you you After some time in your private eucalyptus steam room you begin to reawaken the body.

It's the first time in a while that you've felt totally stress free and relaxed.

You smile to yourself and commit to holding on to this feeling you've cultivated within yourself.

You lovingly stand up and leave your steam room setting allowing this feeling to be with you as you continue on with your day.

Take as much time here as you need to reawaken your body.

Taking a few last cleansing breaths and when it feels right to you closing your meditation practice.

Thank you so much for joining me today for your guided meditation to melt stress away.
