Welcome everyone,

My name is Megan Farrell and today I will be taking you through a guided meditation for change.

So go ahead and find a nice comfortable position.

And maybe with the theme of today's guided meditation,

Changing up how you would normally meditate.

So if you normally lay down,

Maybe try sitting up.

And vice versa,

If you sit up,

Try laying down.

Just making sure that you are nice and comfy.

And nothing is obstructing your breathing.

Go ahead and release all physical tension from the body.

And clenching the feet and the hands,

Noticing if the tongue is glued to the roof of your mouth.

Go ahead and release and soften,

Releasing any physical tension from the body.

Go ahead and place your left hand on your heart and place your right hand on top of your belly.

Feel this connection of your hand on your body.

And notice the pattern of your breathing.

And then go ahead and release all air from your body.

And on your next inhale,

Take a deep breath in into the belly.

And as you exhale,

Release,

Letting it go.

Take a deep breath into the belly,

Allow it to expand.

And on an exhale,

Release,

Draw your navel to your spine.

Take a deep breath in.

Long exhale out.

Now inhale into the belly and your rib cage.

Exhale from your rib cage,

Your belly.

Inhale,

Belly,

Rib cage.

Exhale from your rib cage,

Your belly.

Inhale,

Allow the belly and rib cage to expand.

And exhale to let all the air go.

Inhale,

Belly,

Rib cage,

Take it up to the heart space.

Exhale from the heart space,

The rib cage,

The belly.

Inhale,

Breathe into the belly,

Rib cage,

Heart space.

Exhale from your heart space,

Your rib cage,

Your belly.

Big breath in,

Allow the collarbones to expand.

And exhale to let everything go.

And taking a few more of your very own breaths here.

Inhale for the expansion.

And as you exhale,

Release,

Releasing any physical tension from the body as well.

Keep breathing.

And keep it breathing into the belly and rib cage.

As you imagine standing on a path at an opening to a forest.

You feel safe.

You feel completely secure standing here surrounded by nature all around you.

You are dressed in your comfiest clothes,

A wool pair of leggings,

A cozy warm sweater,

Thick warm socks and boots,

And a toque pulled over your head.

It's a beautiful fall day.

The sky is the perfect shade of baby blue,

The sun casting a warm glow on you,

But feeling a coolness in the air.

You begin to walk forward on the path,

The crunch of fallen leaves and twigs underneath your boots as you walk.

There's a crisp coolness in the air,

Like a sweet kiss as it gently caresses your face.

But you feel warm with all your clothes bundled on.

Everywhere you turn,

You see shades of reds,

Yellows,

Browns,

Oranges and greens.

There's an assortment of different trees along your path,

All in different stages of transition.

Some have full leaves still attached,

And some with less leaves,

All in a transition of change.

As you walk,

You are reminded of this concept of change,

Of summer coming to an end,

Moving into autumn.

The air has changed.

It smells fresh,

Cool and dewy,

Almost like you can taste tiny water droplets in the air.

The kaleidoscope of colors you see,

The birds you can hear as they prepare for the new weather.

And you are reminded that nature accepts change.

It doesn't try to change it or stop it.

Like you,

Nature simply adjusts to it all.

It prepares itself,

It resets itself,

And then it allows itself to ride the wave of change.

No resistance,

And totally in flow,

Shedding the old to make way for the new.

As you continue your walk,

A mantra begins to play in your head.

I accept and embrace change.

I allow myself to let go of the old,

To make way to embrace the new.

I allow myself to transition,

To surrender,

And to accept change to grow.

I accept and embrace change.

I allow myself to let go of the old,

To make way to embrace the new.

I allow myself to transition,

To surrender,

And to accept change to grow.

I accept and embrace change.

I allow myself to let go of the old,

To make way to embrace the new.

I allow myself to transition,

To surrender,

And to accept change to grow.

I allow myself to transition,

To surrender,

And to accept change to grow.

I allow myself to transition,

To surrender,

And to accept change to grow.

You see the end of the path up ahead and repeat this mantra once more to yourself.

I accept and embrace change.

I allow myself to let go of the old,

To make way to embrace the new.

I allow myself to transition,

To surrender,

And to accept change to grow.

Like nature,

You commit to accepting change in your life as she does,

As she changes from one season to the next.

As you reach the end of your forest path,

You take one more look behind you and smile,

Taking in the true beauty of the autumn scene behind you.

And then you walk forward and continue on with your day.

Take a moment to bring awareness back into your physical body,

Wiggling the fingers and toes,

Deepening your breath.

And then when it feels right to you,

Blinking your eyelids open and finishing your meditation.

Thank you so much for joining me today for your guided meditation for change.
