Welcome everyone to your guided meditation to feel grounded.
My name is Megan Farrell and I will be taking you through your meditation.
This meditation is intended to help you feel grounded,
Connected,
And centered for your day and a week ahead.
So we'll begin today's meditation by giving yourself permission to be here now,
To taking this next few minutes to fill up your own cup,
And to do your meditation practice.
So finding a nice comfortable seat,
Perhaps laying down or choosing to sit up tall.
Whatever feels good to you here,
Take this moment to get comfortable.
And then feel your body as it connects with the floor.
If you're laying down,
Feel the back of your legs,
Your low back,
The upper back,
And the shoulders connecting with the ground.
And if you're sitting up,
Just feeling that connection of your legs and the feet as they connect to the ground.
Feel this connection and notice your breath.
And bring your awareness to your spine,
The very base where everything connects to the ground.
Taking inhale and imagine the air traveling up the spine and as you exhale it travels from the top of the spine back down to the base.
Inhale from the base of the spine all the way up to the top and exhale from the top of the spine all the way down to the base.
Keep breathing,
Inhale as it travels up and exhale as it travels back down.
Keep breathing.
You're standing in a forest.
You're wearing a cotton flowing outfit,
Bare feet.
You can feel the earth beneath your toes.
You scrunch your toes and bury them deeper into the dirt of this forest.
It's dawn,
The sun just breaking and the cool air dances across your body and gently caresses your hair.
It feels dewy like you're moving through a cloud.
The sun is starting to peek through the trees and you can feel the warmth of the rays kissing your skin.
And you begin to walk along the forest,
Along this path in your forest feeling safe and secure.
You gaze all around you at the towering trees noticing the vibrant colors of the plants and flowers and the soft batter of the birds and butterflies.
As you move through the forest time fades away.
You don't feel stressed or worried.
You simply feel grounded and in the moment.
As you walk along your forest path you find a perfect spot to sit.
It's in a clearing,
Nature all around you and a single beam of sunlight has filtered through the canopy of trees to shine on you as you sit in your perfect spot.
You close your eyes and simply feel the breath moving in and out of your body.
You you you you After some time you feel a sense of calmness,
Of being grounded and rooted.
So you begin to awaken the body and flutter open the eyes and leave your sitting spot.
You move quietly but contently through the forest back the way you started knowing at any time if you feel frazzled or overwhelmed that you can come back to this space,
Back to your special spot in this beautiful forest to feel grounded,
Secure and at peace.
Taking as much time as you need here and when it feels right to you wiggling the fingers and toes maybe finding a stretch if that feels good to you and taking this moment to find gratitude for committing to your practice today and committing to yourself to your health and to your well-being.
When it feels right to you just blinking open the eyelids and continuing on with your day.
Thank you so much for joining me today for this meditation to feel grounded.
