Most people think that you have to sit still and think of nothing during meditation.
When in reality,
Meditation is anything that helps you to separate you from your thoughts.
They're still occurring because they always will.
You are simply watching,
Observing peacefully.
Staring at the sky,
A flame from a candle,
Or running water are great ways to meditate.
So for the next 10 minutes,
I invite you to do something different.
Sit,
Lie,
Or even stretch slowly if you like.
Do whatever feels right and most aligned for you right now.
If you're in a beautiful place,
You can keep your eyes open.
And if you'd like to follow along to the visual imagery in this guided meditation,
You may close your eyes.
Start by taking a deep breath into your lungs.
Hold at the top.
And exhale.
Deep cleansing breath in.
Hold as your body processes the oxygen and life force energy.
Allow it to travel to every cell before you let it out.
And exhale.
In through the nose.
All the way in.
Hold.
And exhale.
Allow any and all thoughts to come into view.
As you inhale again,
Allowing the air to wash over them.
Exhale,
Let it all go.
Keep breathing just like this.
And on your next exhale,
I want you to sigh it out.
Don't worry about making noise,
Just let it go.
In through the nose.
Sigh it out.
Let it go for now.
Your thoughts will still be right here where you left them.
And you get back on the clock managing them.
For now you are on a break.
Trust that you are working with the most divine.
And that they can be trusted with your thoughts,
Your to-do list,
Or anything that you may be micromanaging.
You can put it to the side and it will be taken care of.
I want you to create an image in your mind's eye now.
You're in a forest.
It's midday in spring.
Sunny but cool.
The trees are full of life and the grass beneath you is soft and vibrant.
You're standing in an opening where there's a small waterfall,
A crystal clear pond,
And some beds of flowers.
It feels as if this is your sacred space.
There is a kind of force field surrounding this place.
And only you and your higher self can reside here.
Here are the birds chirping above you.
The wind blowing softly against your skin.
The waterfall on the rocks.
You decide to take a dip in the pond.
Since this is only your sacred space,
You take off your clothes and hang them on a branch.
As you step closer to the water,
You begin to feel anxiety.
A bit of pressure in your body.
The same place you always feel it.
Maybe it's tight shoulders or a lower back.
Like you're carrying the weight of the world.
Maybe there's a certain tightness in your chest you've grown to know over the years.
Maybe for you it's a headache,
A stomach ache.
What is it for you?
Feel it manifesting in your body,
Stronger and stronger as you be with it.
And place a hand or both over the area.
Maybe it's different this time.
Whatever feels right,
Place your hands there.
Come back to your forest.
Don't let it take you.
Notice that the water is almost pulsating with energy,
Begging you to step in.
It has a shimmer you could almost describe as magic.
You step one foot into the pond,
Feeling your body relax and melt into the liquid almost immediately.
The water is so refreshing.
You wade yourself all the way in and can't help but float on your back.
The sun is on your face and your eyes gently close.
The current from the waterfall plays with your hair and the tension in your body releases more and more with each breath that you take.
Inhale,
Exhale.
No need to process what's happening now.
No need to micromanage the thoughts.
There are some things that just can't be explained.
Allow yourself this moment of peace.
Feel the water and the sun,
The lashing fragrant river run.
And the peace,
It's intoxicating.
No more waiting to rise.
Arrive,
Arrive and receive the holy light,
Arrive and receive the holy light.
Come on.
I'm right here waiting for you to rise.
Rise,
Rise.
Rise and receive the holy light.
Rise and receive the holy light.
Come on.
Come on.
Release your shame.
Release the blame.
Release anything that no longer serves you.
Release the shame.
Release the blame.
For the earth will recycle and renew whatever does not belong to you.
So release it.
Release it.
And arrive here to receive here.
Oh.
Hey,
Hey,
I receive the holy light.
Ooh.
Take a deep breath in.
As you come back and notice how your body is feeling.
Take in your knees for a big hug.
And thank yourself for coming home to you today.
This healing oasis is yours and it's available to you at any time.
Open your eyes and see that the world around you looks so vibrant,
Peaceful,
Different.
Thank you so much for being here today.
Many blessings.
