Hello and welcome.

My name is Abigail Morrissey Reardon and today I'm going to talk to you about the seventh chakra.

First,

I will provide you with information and context,

Then I will lead you through a meditation to bring the seventh chakra into balance.

The seventh chakra sits at the crown of the head and is also referred to as the crown chakra.

In Sanskrit,

It is called Sarasvata,

Which means the thousand petal lotus.

The thousand petal lotus flower is depicted being totally open to the light.

The crown chakra governs the realization of universal intelligence and connectedness.

Like the thousand petal lotus flower,

When you open completely and become fully realized that there is no individual identity,

You are able to experience Samadhi.

That is the gift of the seventh chakra.

The crown chakra is all of the elements,

Working from the base all the way to the top of the head.

This chakra allows you to transcend yourself and to connect to all that is.

The color associated with the crown chakra is violet or pure white.

The seed sound of the seventh chakra is Aum.

Lavender and frankincense essential oils can help balance the crown chakra.

Chakra imbalances occur as an excess or deficiency of energy.

Excessive energy in the crown chakra can manifest as being constantly frustrated,

Psychotic,

Depressed,

Or frequent migraines.

Excessive energy can manifest as no joy or an inability to make decisions.

When the crown chakra is balanced,

You are open to the divine and you are able to transcend.

You are able to access the unconscious and subconscious mind.

You are connected to the greater intelligence.

There is no dualism,

No boundaries.

There is only oneness.

I invite you now to join me for a guided meditation to bring your crown chakra into balance.

Please find a comfortable position,

Either sitting up or laying on the floor.

Take time now to get yourself comfortable,

Your body to relax.

Feel the support of the earth.

Close your eyes.

This is your time.

Let go of worry.

Relax into this moment.

Notice any sounds outside of the room.

Acknowledge them and let them go.

Notice any sounds inside of the room.

Release your scalp and forehead.

Drop your shoulders.

Relax your arms.

Release your feet.

Let the whole body relax.

Bring your attention now to your breath.

Notice your inhale and your exhale.

Allow your breath to fall into its own natural rhythm.

As you breathe in,

Visualize breathing in relaxation.

As you breathe out,

Visualize breathing out tension.

Relaxation.

Breathe out tension.

Watch the natural rhythm of your breath.

If thoughts intrude,

Allow them to float by.

Breathing in relaxation.

Breathing out tension.

Now visualize a bright light at the crown of your head.

See this light sitting on top of a lotus flower.

Feel the lotus flower opening up.

Connecting to the heavens above.

See the light going all the way down your spine.

Down into the earth.

Feel the white light connecting to all of your chakras.

Your third eye chakra.

Your throat chakra.

Heart chakra.

Solar plexus.

The sacral chakra.

And the root chakra.

See all seven of the chakras illuminated by this bright white light.

Bring your attention back to the crown.

To the lotus flower sitting on the crown of your head.

Visualize the white light swirling in the lotus flower.

Getting faster and faster in motion.

Continue to visualize it spinning.

Now silently say to yourself,

I am connected to the greater intelligence.

There is no dualism.

There is only oneness.

Focus on the swirling white light at the crown of your head.

And bring the light back.

Slowing down.

Say silently to yourself,

My crown chakra is open.

I'm working at a normal function.

And bring your awareness back to the inflow and outflow of your breath.

Watching the breath in.

Becoming aware of your whole body again.

Bringing your attention to your fingers and toes.

Giving them a wiggle.

Shrugging your shoulders.

Moving your hips side to side.

And then when you feel ready,

Opening your eyes and returning back into the room.

Thank you so much for joining me for this crown chakra meditation.

Sending you so much love and light.
