My name is Abigail Morrissey-Verdon from Shine Wellness.
Today I will introduce to you the Sacral Chakra and will give you some background information and context.
Then I will lead you through a guided meditation to bring the Sacral Chakra back into balance.
The Sacral Chakra or Svadhisthana is the second chakra.
Svadhisthana means abode of vital force or dwelling place of self.
It is located two inches below the navel down from the pubic bone.
The Sacral Chakra is your center for pleasure,
Sexuality and abundance.
Svadhisthana is how we look at vitality.
It is the seat of your likes,
Dislikes and desires.
This is where friendliness,
Creativity,
Sexuality,
Fluidity and intuition live.
Svadhisthana governs your sense of self-worth,
Confidence in your creativity,
As well as your ability to relate to others openly.
The element associated with Svadhisthana is water.
The Sacral Chakra is associated with your hips,
Sacrum,
Bladder,
Skin and reproductive organs.
It is your sexual center and is one of the centers for your emotions.
The Sacral Chakra is located near the womb.
It is the center of gestation.
It is where you cradle your creativity and energy.
The color associated with Svadhisthana is orange.
The seed sound of the Sacral Chakra or sound that will ignite this area is Vaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhmmmmmm Jasmuen and sandalwood essential oils are smells that are soothing to the Sacral Chakra.
Chakra imbalances occur as an excess or deficiency of energy.
Excess energy in svaadhisthana can manifest as lust,
Indulgence,
Greed and overcompensation.
A deficiency in the sacral chakra can present as allergies,
Shy timid personalities,
Overly sensitive,
Fear of pleasure and lack of creativity.
A balanced sacral chakra presents as friendly,
Optimistic and full of passion.
When svaadhisthana is in alignment,
You are in touch with your sexual energy,
You are able to achieve orgasms and have a healthy appetite for life.
You will be able to enjoy yourselves fully and prioritize self-care to replenish.
You are water.
You are free and flowing.
You honor your needs and allow yourself to be nourished.
Now I will guide you through a meditation.
Please find a comfortable seat.
Allow the body to surrender to the support beneath you.
I invite you to close your eyes.
This is your time.
Let go of worry.
Allow yourself to relax into this moment.
Engage the pelvic floor and let the spine grow long.
Relax the shoulders and jaw.
Notice any sounds outside of the room.
Acknowledge them and let them go.
Notice any sounds inside of the room.
Acknowledge them and let them go.
Bring your awareness to your breath.
Without trying to change the breath,
Notice without judgment the inhale and the exhale.
Get curious about your breath,
Its own natural rhythm,
Without trying to control it in any way.
On your next inhale,
Visualize breathing in cleansing energy.
As you exhale,
Imagine breathing out tension from the body.
Inhale,
Breathe in cleansing energy.
Exhale that which no longer serves you.
If thoughts intrude,
Allow them to float by and continue to focus on the breath.
Now bring your attention to your sacral chakra,
Svadhisthana,
The area below your belly button.
Visualize the color orange,
Deep and luminous.
Imagine an orange light here.
See the light swirling clockwise in your sacral center,
Swirling like a whirlpool.
Visualize the orange light swirling around and watch it grow,
Getting bigger and bigger as it spins.
Stay here,
Watching the orange swirling light.
Visualize the healing orange light now traveling up into your chest,
Your head,
Your arms and hands.
See the light move down into your pelvis,
Your legs and toes.
Allow this orange light to connect with all of your chakras,
Filling your entire body.
As this healing orange light expands,
See it filling you with abundance,
Creativity,
Ease,
Pleasure and sensuality.
Allow feelings of pleasure and abundance to take up space in your body now.
See the healing orange light radiate from within your body and form a protective bubble around you.
Feel the warmth from the pleasurable orange energy.
Allow yourself now to connect to your sexuality and sensuality.
In the protective orange bubble,
You prioritize your needs,
Your physical needs,
Your nutritional needs,
Your psychological needs,
Your emotional needs,
Your spiritual needs and your sexual needs.
In this orange bubble,
You are open to joy,
Happiness and creation.
And silently to yourself,
Repeat,
I am water.
I am free and flowing.
I honor my needs and allow myself to be nourished and feel pleasure.
Now we will close down the sacral chakra.
Then bring your attention to your sacral area,
Two inches below your belly button.
See the orange light of Svaadisthana and watch it begin to slowly swirl,
Getting smaller and smaller in size.
Bring the orange light back to be a size of an orange.
You are bringing the chakra back down to size,
Silently into yourself,
Say,
My sacral chakra is working and is at normal function.
Now bring your awareness back to the flow of your breath,
Noticing the breath in and the breath out.
Notice the movement of your stomach as you breathe in and as you breathe out.
Become aware of your full body again.
Invite some movement back into your toes,
Maybe wiggle them back and forth.
Notice your fingers and allow them to move.
Maybe give your shoulders a shrug.
Slowly become aware of the room,
Noticing the sounds around you.
And when you feel ready,
Can gently open your eyes and return back into the room.
