Today I will introduce you to the solar plexus,
Providing information and context about the chakra.
Then I will lead you through meditation to bring the solar plexus into balance.
The solar plexus is the third chakra and it is associated with self-esteem,
Confidence,
And willpower.
The solar plexus is also known as manipura.
In Sanskrit,
Manipura means lusterous gem.
Manipura is located in the area around the navel.
The manipura chakra begins two inches above the navel and goes up into the sternum.
This chakra channels energy to the organs in charge of digestion and purification,
Including the stomach,
Pancreas,
Liver,
Gallbladder,
Spleen,
Adrenals,
Lumbar vertebrae,
And digestive system.
Just as the chakra is in charge of movement and digestion,
It is in charge of transforming your thoughts into action.
The color associated with the solar plexus chakra is yellow.
The element is fire.
It is the core of your identity and personality.
The sound associated with this chakra is RAAAAM.
Grapefruit,
Rosemary,
And lemon essential oils can help balance the manipura chakra.
Chakra imbalances occur as an excess or deficiency of energy.
Excessive energy in the solar plexus chakra includes controlling intolerant or excessively competitive behavior,
Overeating and overindulgence,
As well as fatigue or excessive laziness.
Deficient energy in the solar plexus chakra can manifest as insecurity,
Anxiety,
Fear,
Low body weight,
Lack of confidence,
And poor self-image,
As well as an inability to focus and a lack of organization.
A balanced manipura or solar plexus chakra allows you to have control over your thoughts and emotional responses,
Set healthy boundaries,
And be at peace with yourself.
When balanced,
You are able to be your authentic self and shine.
A balanced manipura allows you to manifest,
To transform,
And take action.
When manipura is balanced,
You take responsibility for your actions and your life.
You are a lustrous gem.
You shine.
You glow.
You are confident in yourself.
You are filled with self-esteem.
Your strong yellow energy radiates from within.
You are comfortable within your own power.
You follow through on your actions and manifest your desires.

Find a comfortable seat and whatever that looks like for you.
Allow the body to relax.
Feel the support of the ground beneath you.
Find length in the spine.
Visualize your spine growing long,
Opening.
If you would like,
You can close your eyes and bring your attention inwards,
Noticing the rise and fall of the breath,
Becoming aware of your inhale and exhale.
Bring your attention now into your navel center,
To manipura.
Send your breath to the chakra,
Visualizing a lotus flower growing and opening with each breath in and each breath out.
Invite the color yellow in,
The color of the shining sun.
Connect to your self-esteem,
Your self-worth.
Feel into your ability to transform and to take action.
Feel your authentic self present here.
Bask in your inner sun.
As you breathe in,
Visualize the lotus flower growing and opening.
As you breathe out,
See the lotus flower growing and opening,
Allowing your authentic self,
Your self-worth and self-esteem to bathe your whole body.
Allowing the self-worth,
Your self-esteem to bathe your whole body.
Silently to yourself,
Repeat,
I am fire.
I am a lustrous gem.
I am filled with self-esteem.
My strong yellow energy radiates outwards.
I am comfortable with my power.
I follow through on my word with actions and manifest my desires.
My solar plexus chakra is opened and balanced.
Bring your attention back to the breath.
Realize your solar plexus chakra open and whole.
See the solar plexus chakra with all of the other chakras.
See them now floating along the spine.
Silently to yourself,
Repeat,
My chakras are balanced and whole and are working harmoniously together.
Let go of the visual of your chakras and take a moment to notice how you are feeling in this moment.
Breathing again back to the breath.
Visualizing the inhale and exhale.
When you feel ready,
You can invite some movement back into the body.
Begin to wiggle your fingers and toes.
Maybe shrug your shoulders from side to side.
If you want,
You can send a smile across your face.
When you feel ready,
Open your eyes and return back to the room.

Please know that our chakras are not individual and are all working together in harmony.
So while it is important to make sure we tend to the chakras that are most in need,
It is important to consider that the chakras above or below may also need some opening or healing.
The chakras work together and are constantly ebbing and flowing.
So we are not living in one of these energetic centers,
But we are living in all of them,
Finding balance and harmony as we move through our life.
